+269 Eating "healthy" or organic may be expensive, but in the long run it might be cheaper because I wont have crazy doctor bills when I'm 60, amirite?

Hmmm...junk food/food that isn't "organic" is okay in moderation, like most other things, so I don't see what the problem is.

But I live in the UK, with free healthcare, so I'll eat all the junk food I want ;D.

fuckin eh, free healthcare! :D no true though, it's better to eat healthier..

by Anonymous 13 years ago

How is it free? Does the money materialize out of nowhere? Is no one paying for it?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well the government pays, I don't pay for my own healthcare though.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

And where does the government get the money?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Taxes, so yeah I guess I do pay for it indirectly, but it's the same cost to me whether I use it loads or don't use it at all. Although I suppose if I need a lot of healthcare, the taxes will rise, so you're sort of right..

;) We just have to break it down. Free health care isn't free.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well, I got told.

but it's sure a lot better then getting sick, not being able to afford operations costs and then dying. Free health care isn't free but it's cheaper and a lot better then paying for health care when we need it. :D

Haha, I was thinking about that when I went away. Yeah it's better because we're going to be prepared to pay taxes throughout our life, instead of getting one huge payment when we get ill.

Yep :( in the documentary SICKO, this one man could only afford to have 1 of his fingers re-attached. He may of been paying lower taxes, but he still couldn't afford his fingers. I'd rather pay higher taxes then risk losing something important like that.
