Whether you like it or not, Windows did inspire Computers as we have them today. Most computers (A good bit of them) have Windows on them. And, most people HAVE windows, unles they like to make graphics and such. Then they have one of those Apple computers. I have read many polls that said, "Windows is great, except for graphics. Apple computers are better for GIMP and stuff, but I guess if you don't like graphic making Windows is the best." So, stop stating your opinions as fact. When you do that, come back here and have a more suitable arguement. Oh, and I made a mistake. Wow, like that hasn't happened before. I am going to go shoot myself because I made a mistake. -sob- NOT.

Microsoft is a company. Microsoft makes Windows. Windows is an Operating System (OS). Apple is a company. Apple makes Mac OS X. Mac OS X is an OS. Apple also makes computers. Microsoft doesn't make computers. Dell makes computers. IBM makes computers. ASUS makes computers. Windows can't make graphics???? You have no idea what you are talking about. Windows is an OS. Any OS can "make" graphics. It all depends on the hardware, the computer. Forget it. Why do I argue with idiots.

Many people have told me that Apple's software is better for graphic designers such as GIMP. I never said Microsoft OS didn't have that capability. I think you are the idiot here, sir.

I'm talking about them being capable of using graphic makers such as gimp or photoshop. Get that through you're thick skull. I know what a freaking OS is. Stop putting got damn words in my mouth and think things through before you post. I can easily take a picture of this using Firefox and post it online, showing what an imbecile you are for not paying attention to what a person is saying. I am saying GIMP (a graphic design software) is better to be used on an Apple Computer (Mac is usually on their computers) and that Windows is better for school work and office work. Now, I would say I just proved you that I'm not a moron NOR am I ignorant. I know alot about computers, considering I was raised being told about what computers are and what is in them, such as an Operating System, such as windows. (killerninja): The other "other companies" was used. Meaning Dell, Gateway, HP, etc., etc. Calm down and get educated yourself. Windows doesn't cause hatred, people like you do when you blurt out "Windows sucks". Like anything else all people do is follow the money. Apple would be on top if it weren't for the high prices for indigenous peripherals. So step back and talk about operating systems and not computers. Unix, xenix and such. Windows is on top because the majority of people use it and the programs people want operate on that system. If the world switched to Linux then that would become the "stupid" system.

Do you hate hospitals? Hospitals charge for what should be free. Life. You have no choice, but you still have to pay, even if you weren't the one to call 911. Just because you're paying for what should be free, doesn't mean it sucks. If stuff like Office was free, than Microsoft would lose a good bit of money! Windows has notepad and wordpad for free, which is a more basic version of word. You are paying for the EXTRAS. Extras aren't NEEDED so you PAY for it.

OpenOffice is free and it provides the same service as your Microsoft Office. I don't pay for my software. GIMP is free. I don't pay for Photoshop. Hospitals should be free. Canada has free healthcare. They are better off than us Americans.

"Why would I ever use your Windows???" Because the whole world uses it. It's universal. If you do schoo work you need Windows. If you get a job most likely you will need windows. Free? How do you think the world got hooked on windows? A lot of the programs were "free" like Word, powerpoint, money, etc. when they came out. The business world ate it up until they had all these documents that were done in Windows that they had to pay for the upgrades to continue working those docs or pay a bigger load fo transfer all those said docs. We're all proud of you that you can live on the linux system dude. Can you run all the programs from Windows or Mac on it? Does Linux work with all computers and hardware? I @30041 (killerninja): I tried before win98. I actually like the old 3.1 but the public cried to make it more like a Mac. ( uhg!) But like driving the freeway the world goes with the flow, very few stray. And frankly my kids need windows to survive in school. Also to be honest most people can do without Windows because they just use it for the internet and photo storage. And again, if everyone used Linux, or MacIntosh, then the hacking and viruses would flood those too. Truth be know I tried to load a linux sytem years ago and it wouldn't load on my machine. Now I have too much invested in programs and games to switch. It's easier to stay than to take long hours trying to replace it.
