God is like a unicorn - only existing in the mind, but awesome nonetheless, amirite?

God is like a unicorn: believed by many to be mythical, but is in fact an awesome presence in the world.

1. It is possible that a maximally great being (God) exists.
2. If it is possible that a maximally great being exists, then a maximally great being exists in some possible world.
3. If a maximally great being exists in some possible world, then it exists in every possible world.
4. If a maximally great being exists in every possible world, then it exists in the actual world.
5. Therefore, a maximally great being exists in the actual world.
6. Therefore, a maximally great being exists.
7. Therefore, God exists.

By that logic vampires, zombies, werewolves, unicorns, dragons also exist in this world.

So does everything imaginable, then. There's just nowhere to fit all this stuff except our brains.

There is no logical justification of God's existence. If there was, faith would be utterly unneeded.

Very well put.

Just pointing out a few of the many holes in this logic:
- The possibility that something exists doesn't tell us anything about whether or not it actually does exist. Even if there are innumerable possible worlds, it's still technically possible that said thing does not exist.
- #3 is asserted with no backing or explanation whatsoever.
- Why would a maximally great being necessarily have to be God? Furthermore, to what kind of God are you referring?
