in the war between harry potter and twilight no one remembers the lord of the rings, amirite?

I don't get this at all. I love all three series; I've read both the Harry Potter series and the Twilight series (I don't have the LOTR books, but I'll read them yet).
Why is there a war? I'm totally lost on this whole thing.
