+299 Kid's who are passing all of their classes, should really get Fridays off, and the kids who don't should go on Fridays and be tutored. Think about it it would motivate, and help kids who struggle out at the same time. amirite?

so if someone just happens to have a learning disability, they'd get punished for it...? Kinda discriminatory don't ya think?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

People with learning disabilities don't get punished. They get help. At least they should. Just because you've got a learning disability doesn't mean you will fail.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

but under this 'rule' they'll get punished until the help they get is good enough

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well, if the rule were set up in a way which would insure those who need the help get it, then that could be good?

i still think that instead of torture they should have revision or normal class. No matter how funny you think this post is...it's not.

(ArchAngel):i'm still lost on how you think an entire day focused on helping kids with disabilities catch up on concepts learned the previous four days is a disadvantage/torture.

Also, I think you're right. However, it may also influence an increase in cheating.

Eh, Furlough Fridays. :( Hawai'i public schools have Fridays off now because the government is stupid. It's really not that great for the students.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Is it because that makes your school year be longer?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I could see a lot more people cutting class if tha happened.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

My school has this, but on Thursdays:) its an *optional* study day, but kids organise tutors and stuff on it, its great

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Arch Angel, your wrong. First of all, don't take these posts so literally; it's not like it's ever going to happen. Secondly, they aren't being punished for being stupid. The smart kids are just being rewarded for their accomplishments. It would be punishment Of they were forced to come in on Saturday; however, this is not the case.

(Bulletproof<3): just drawing your attention to "and be tutored"
