+154 Men, in politics or elsewhere, should have no say when it comes to abortion, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

seriously? the males are responsible in creating the children, and they go on to father them. clearly they should have a say.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

men give out their sperm left and right, there will never be a shortage

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That's not exactly true, and the father does deserve a say.

I have the only say and if my woman had a baby, out comes the fucking baseball bat. That bitch better get ready for some stomach whooping.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

hahaha. i like you.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That's horrible. You disgust me.

this post is so many shades of dumb. thats like saying a white person can't say that black people should be treated equally because they aren't black...or that a person can't believe in humane treatment of animals because they aren't an animal...either way abortion is killing a kid without a voice..imho

by Anonymous 13 years ago

So you would rather give the kid a voice while silencing the mother's voice?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

sure, that mother's gotta have a prettty stupid voice to wanna kill a baby. trust me, there are plenty of pregnant women who end up having a miscarriage and who would give ANYTHING to have that kid born alive...just because some mom doesn't want the kid doesn't mean she has a right to kill it. imho

And if you're raped? And don't give me the "then adopt!" speech, because when you're pregnant and you continue through the pregnancy, then your WHOLE body changes, you change in so many ways. Nobody has the right to force that on someone. I'm also not saying that some slut should treat abortion as birth control. I know a girl who had so many abortions that finally the doctor wouldn't do another and now she's a mom. That's just disgusting. And to the post at hand, I disagree. I think that the father should have some say, as in he should know about the pregnancy and let the mother know what he believes should be done. However, the males body doesn't change at all, they have nothing to live through physically when it comes to childbirth, so ultimately the final choice should be the mother's. As for politically, I guess that's a whole different story... and I'm not too sure how I feel about that..

About the rape thing, if you are raped then you go to the doctor to get your uterus cleaned out. This is not considered an abortion ;it's just getting out bodily fluids that the rapist left behind. It's a sanitary thing.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

wow, that's pretty harsh. Personally, im not exactly a fan of abortion, and i dont think it should be done later on, but in the early stages you know it's just a clump of cells, right? The baby has no idea whats going on, it doesnt even have a brain yet. Besides, you cant really make up your mind about abortion properly unless you or someone close to you has been through it. Just try to put yourself in someone else's shoes.

Lots of people are killed without a voice, and lots more will be. It can not be avoided, it can not be stopped. No matter who you are, you have contributed to it, and you have reaped the benefits. It is only natural, to put oneself before others. It is a widespread hypocrisy, as well as a logical fallacy to try to stop someone from doing it. To stop them, is to put your own peace of mind, your own life, ahead of their well being. In the end, those who can put themselves first, will. And those who can't, will suffer.

kay, and theres plenty more females to be impregnated. girls need to make up there mind, one minute its a fight saying " we need guys to stick around and want to be in our babies life" and then they say " guys should have no choice in abortion laws" seriously. no wonder people think women shouldn't have equal rights, they cant make up their damn minds. and futhermore, even if a male hadnt created a child, his moral values should still be heard.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

even as a woman, i think this is wrong. not only is it diminishing the importance of fatherhood, (because, really BOTH mother and father should be involved) it's also hypocritical. she can demand child support from, sure, but then father can have NO say whatsoever in the child's fate, even if he WANTS to stick around? that's wrong.
