You try so hard not to knock out the wild Pokemon that you really want, but if you think about it, why can't you just pick up that fainted Pokemon & stuff it in your Pokeball? It makes no sense that an unconscious animal cannot be captured, amirite?

Actually it encourages freedom of the Pokemon, allowing it to choose whether or not it wants to be captured.
