My friend didn't go my dad's funeral because she wanted to spend time with her boyfriend (who ended up leaving her home to go anyway). I'll never forget or forgive being abandoned then.

I think OP and anyone who voted YYA are just better people than most. Personally, I hold grudges. I'm never mean or disrespectful to a person who has done me wrong but I never forget what they did, and if they ever did anything close to it again, I would remind them of it.

I find it easy. In fact I am not forgiving someone right now because they don't deserve the recognition of being a decent person when they are clearly a douche bag.

It depends who it is and what they did. If it's someone close to you and the repercussions are completely gone after a while, then fine, I guess. But other things...
