+386 People that get plastic surgery because they are unhappy with how they look are stupid. Be happy with what you have, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Unless they have something that really looks wrong, and will be a problem from them, socially.

I agree with you, but if everybody did that, then we would all be walking Barbie and Ken dolls! Stupid self-concious human race...

And can you imagine all the teenage skinny-girls getting liposuction???

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Oh god, that would be awful. I meant like when one boob is way bigger than the other, or if your face wasn't proportioned evenly on both sides.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Yes, that would most likely fall under "medical Issue" XD

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Its still plastic surgery.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Yes, in a post I was going to make (I modified it, thus becoming my first response), I was going to imply that it should only be acceptable if it was interfering with health. Like lopsided bodies.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Exactly.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Or if your boobies are ginormous and giving you back problems.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Exactly!

Looks horrible when you're old...

by Anonymous 14 years ago

When you're old? Who thinks that far ahead man? So long as you're happy now, that's all that matters, let future you worry about future ugly you! *Being sarcastic*

by Anonymous 13 years ago

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i am getting plastic surgery because i was in a car accident. am i being stupid? that's what i thought, shut up.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

What happens if you are born disfigured or in an accident? :|

They have a right to be happy. If people want to change their looks because they have the money and it'd cheer them up, then who are we to say no? A lot of people have jobs because people want plastic surgery. If you were uncomfortable with something you could change, wouldn't you want to change it? If you felt REALLY self-conscious about it, you would want to change it, right? Just let people live their lives. And besides, plastic surgery is pricey. Not everyone can just waltz into the doctor's office.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's called being happy with what you have. No one, no matter how beautiful they are, is perfect. There is no one so ugly, that no one in this world will find them attractive.... That's the reality of the matter. Besides if you're going to be picky, then you're still not going to be happy after the surgery, if you're not satisfied with what you have, then you won't be satisfied with what you get

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Some people aren't happy with what they have. If they feel a certain way, who are you to tell them they can't change their body? Plastic surgery is similar to getting a hair cut, piercing, contacts or glasses, tattoos, etc. If they want to change, let them. No one is forcing you to change your body, and them getting plastic surgery isn't going to affect you. Leave them alone and stop judging.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm not judging them and for that matter I really don't care whether a person has one or not, you're right it doesn't affect me, what I am saying is that it won't bring them happiness, I mean I know a friend who got one and she told me she regrets it. Not all girls might feel that way, but if they weren't happy before, then getting the surgery isn't going to make them happy

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Not all people are like that. Some people do get happy after getting surgery.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Oh okay

by Anonymous 13 years ago

who are you to judge them? i agree that too much or unnecessary surgery is stupid, but if someone is truly unhappy with the way they look, why shouldn't they be allowed to change it?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Plastiic surgery can really improve a person's self confidence as well.

When i was 13 i had a rather large bump on my nose, but it didn't really bring me down because i knew people could look past it and accept me for me. And I'd never even thought of plastic surgery. Then, my mom told she set up an appointment with a plastic surgeon to get it removed and i started to get more and more self-conscious that I didn't even fight back when she told me I was getting surgery. The bump is gone and i still don't have a regular size nose. Plastic surgery didn't really do anything for me; it was really only so that my mom could have a more "normal-looking daughter"....
