"When boys act 'catty' like girls" is the most ridiculous gender generalization I've ever heard, I'd hate it slightly less if it said "when boys act like a catty girl" but that's still enforcing gender stereotypes. Being catty isn't strictly for women, and you seem like you got some serious misogynistic shit going on in your head. "If we wanted you to act like girls, we would just be friends with girls." Yes, because you're friends should change so that the awesomeness that is you will like them. Find a different guy to be around then. And as someone said already, this makes is sound like you are friends with them just cuz they're a boy.
