I have several friends who will gas it up or act like it's a good option for food and none of them are broke. In my personal experience, I've been in the minority when I call it out for being trash.

It's still the cheapest. I usually have a deal on the app for free fries so I can get a full meal for $5. It's also the largest fast food chain in the world which is why it's still incredibly popular and probably the most recognizable chain.

I didn't expect the dollar menu to last forever, but I spent almost $50 on 3 of us last month. We had a long, busy day, so we had to eat out. McDonald's used to be for convenience and value. It was never meant to be gourmet. Well, $50 for 3 people is a value.

It was the quarter pounders with fries and shakes. I had water. My kids had the shakes. It was probably quarter pounders with the bacon and whatnot.

We've gotten free things from the app, and we've done the order ahead, to pick up curbside. I guess we didn't that day. Anyway, there's a noticeable increase in prices.

McDonald's was never good. It's draw was that it was fast and cheap and available. Road trip food. If it's not cheap though, there's really no point to it.
