I think you should obviously tell them you have a gun and tell them you'll shoot if they don't give your stuff back (or even just set it down and run). Imagine this. You just cashed a paycheck after a long week. Finally got your rent money and grocery money for your wife and kids. You get robbed, robber turns around, and now you have a chance to get your money back. Wouldn't you take that chance? Do you still think that guy needed your money more than you?
