A dingo can eat a baby, but a baby can't eat a dingo.

by Mediocre_Eye 4 weeks ago

Meat eaters are usually omnivores.

by Anonymous 4 weeks ago

It would certainly defeat the purpose of being a vegan restaurant

by Wehnercharity 4 weeks ago

Yes. Regular restaurants have all sorts of things. Being a vegan restaurant is kind of specifically about the limited ingredients used.

Cafe Yumm! In the Portland metro area does. They keep a side of chicken around as a meat option. Otherwise it's a variation of vegetarian/vegan/gluten free on every dish.

by cbeahan 4 weeks ago

Yumm sauce is so good! I used to make a vegan recipe at home a lot. Take 1/2 cup olive oil, 1/2 cup almonds, 1/2 cup water, 1/2 cup lemon juice (about 2 lemons), 1/3 cup nutritional yeast, 1 can garbanzo beans, drained, 2 cloves garlic, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp cumin, 1/4 tsp chili powder, 1/4 tsp turmeric into a food processor and pulse until it's combined.

by bennieharvey 4 weeks ago

Are they good?

by Mariaullrich 4 weeks ago

Yeah let's find a vegan chef that wants to handle animal corpses.

by Anonymous 4 weeks ago

I've worked with plenty, none had an issue working with meat, they just didn't eat it. I'd assume there's plenty out there that wouldn't apply for the job.

by Anonymous 4 weeks ago

I'll only do it for pets, because they are the only ones worth doing it for.

No one is gonna argue that their steak got cross-contaminated with vegetables

by Jayne83 4 weeks ago

Guy you responded to might.

by Anonymous 4 weeks ago

A non vegan eating vegan does not go against their morals where as a vegan eating meat does. Most vegans do not eat that way as a dietary choice they eat that way because they think killing animals for their meat is morally wrong.

by Anonymous 4 weeks ago

People that eat meat can also eat vegan food but not the other way around. *Big breath in* DUUUHHHHHH!!!!!

by Anonymous 4 weeks ago

I'm sure you will find something you like.

by Anonymous 4 weeks ago

Oh for sure. Just somewhere else. But again, to each their own.

This is the equivalent of "White Lives Matter"

by Strong_Door4991 4 weeks ago

"All squares are rectangles, but not all rectangles are squares." I mean, I'm all for mocking the vegans who are holier than thou but try replacing "vegan" with literally any other specific food category and rethink your gotcha logic a little. Ice cream shops also don't have meat but many restaurants serve it.

by Unfair-Ad-7410 4 weeks ago

Most people that are vegan do it for moral reasons, and most people running vegan restaurants are also vegan. So of course they don't.

by Anonymous 4 weeks ago

vegetarian probably, vegan hell no.

by Anonymous 4 weeks ago

There's plenty of meat options at vegan restaurants if you're brave enough.

by ellen01 4 weeks ago

Long pig?

by donatomcculloug 4 weeks ago

Squeal for me.

by ellen01 4 weeks ago

Because there's no way of life which involves a diet of mandatory meat at every meal.

by Anonymous 4 weeks ago

I wish this was true but there's actually some idiots out there who espouse a carnivore diet

by Anonymous 4 weeks ago

there is no way of life that requires you to never eat meat. humans literally are designed to eat meat too

by Anonymous 4 weeks ago

Humans are not obligate carnivores. Your cat is. Humans aren't.

by Anonymous 4 weeks ago

Those non-inclusive bastards!

by Extra_Ad 4 weeks ago

I go to a vegan place that has some meat as options. It's definitely targeting the vegan population and does vegan very very well

by Usimonis 4 weeks ago

Most Chinese food restaurants have chicken fingers... but no chicken finger restaurants ever have Chinese food.

by Straight-Click-6605 4 weeks ago

Think of the overall selection in most places though. A meat eater has many more options than a vegan eater.

by Top_Sink4924 4 weeks ago

It's definitely for their beliefs, not health benefits.

by Anonymous 4 weeks ago

Plenty of people are and promote veganism for health benefits regardless of whether or not they exist lol.

by EquivalentBerry5982 4 weeks ago

Same reason why there's no white ppl history month

by Anonymous 4 weeks ago

Lmaooooo

by Anonymous 4 weeks ago

What an asinine comparison

by Anonymous 4 weeks ago

Not a vegan. But I think this helps normal people understand. But veganism isn't a diet, it's a moral philosophy. Vegans feel the same way about animals that most people only feel about humans. So a vegan restaurant that serves meat is a bit like a normal restaurant but it serves human. For the cannibal crowd. All moral philosophy is made up and it just helps us frame our world. I try not to judge people too much if they aren't hurting others.

by TrueGovernment9386 4 weeks ago

"Commonly". I don't know a single restaurant that doesn't serve vegan options. Maybe not as a main dish, but I would have to actually do some research to confirmed whether or not every option on the menu is non-vegan.
