Men sitting down to urin*te should be the norm, amirite?
by Anonymous1 year ago
I don't like the feel of toilet water on my parts. I cannot empty my bladder fully sitting down. I can standing up. I clean my bathroom, toilet area enough NEVER get get a yellow coloration. YUCK. If you have yellow coloration you are not cleaning enough. My toilet bowl and seat is sparkling White!

I tend to sit to pee when I am really tired, but stand to pee otherwise. Kind of situational for me.

For me too, honestly I don't do this outside home.

I am a woman but I have lived with my husband for almost 20 years and have never cleaned anything yellow off the floor. Even my 5 year old can get it all in the toilet. Just cleaning the floor and toilet regularly, the paper towel never comes back yellow and my bathroom doesn't smell like pee. I'm not sure that the issue here is sitting versus standing. It sounds a little like contamination OCD.

I'm torn between so lazy that I'll jump at any opportunity to sit down and being so lazy that I'm not sure it's worth the effort just for a pee

the sit-down length has to be longer than 2 minutes for me.

people aren't taking into account a) the height of the person & b) the height of the bowl at work the bowl is so low that you can visually see the splashback - stains under the seat are also from it splashing up

You pee standing with the seat down? You are a monster!!!

It gets wet 👍

I get your point, but following your logic my ass would also be filled with droplets of urine and would eventually dirty my underwear and inner pants. What about installing urinals at home?

Good thing you censored the word urinate, I wouldn't be able sleep tonight otherwise

People choosing for themselves how to take a piss should be the norm. Also cleaning up after yourself and not being a disgusting slob if you live with someone else should be the norm.

Wait its not?

I'm a very tall dude and even if my aim is immaculate there will be splashes when the piss hits the water. So I think your opinion makes sense but I still prefer standing up and then I always wipe off any stains with some paper if necessary.

You must be pissing like a firehose because there's no noticeable urine that goes anywhere besides my toilet bowl.. But I hate to break it to you but that particulate waste is still ejected into the air even if you sit, it just gets on you instead of the area around you

In my own home, I always sit

It's urine. It's not like it's toxic or even remotely unsafe. I don't see any reason to be paranoid about getting microscopic droplets on my clothes or the floor. I'm not going to pull down my pants and sit down every time I have to take a leak because I'm not germophobic.

as a mom who cleans a bathroom that is only for our sons who live in the basement, it adds up 😂

This is fresh on my mind because I went down to clean the bathroom just recently and the handle for the toilet brush, which sits right next to the toilet, was basically covered in urine. 🤢 Our 2 older kids are mostly out of the house and our last one is 15. So he's learning how to clean and he does help, but yeah. I share a bathroom with my husband who has much better aim and isn't in a hurry like our son always is but even then it still splatters because of how far they stand above the surface of the water. I don't expect a toilet to be clean or pleasant to clean up, but there's no reason the side of the cabinet, the floor, the whole front underside of the toilet etc have to get full of pee. Pee standing up while you are out camping, by all means 😂 At home, be civilized 😉

It's way too uncomfortable to me honestly, I did it once and I hated all 30 seconds of it
by Limp_Ice1 year ago
How is it uncomfortable if I may ask?
by Anonymous1 year ago
I just don't like the feeling of sitting as I pee
by Limp_Ice1 year ago
They did. That's why they remarked about you having to censor it, rather than just that you had censored it.

I'm a little concerned that you censored the word urinate. Like, is there a reason for that? It's a normal bodily function, and that is the proper terminology for it.
by Anonymous1 year ago
How about no, it is the most unmanly thing to do. Might as well have a sex change operation if you are doing this.
by Anonymous1 year ago
Oh my someone is not confident in their masculinity.... I don't need to stand up to pee because I'm a lumberjack, in my soul, the manliest of manly men. Wait that's not right. It's because I'm sometimes lazy, but not usually.
