+28 Ultra thin bed pillows with almost no support are the best for sleep. amirite?

by Anonymous 1 week ago

i'm sorry but "bulky pillow people" had me giggling so much

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Do you guys spend the whole night in the same position and not move at all?

by Alfredaroob 1 week ago

Don't care, i sleep how i want to sleep

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Very brave

Good for you. Thanks for sharing.

The "correct height" drawing in that link juts the spine forward, which increases breathing problems like snoring.

by Complete-Citron 1 week ago

They are illustrating natural spine alignment. There are numerous images that clearly and effectively demonstrate in different styles and angles. Hence why I picked a link with multiple images provided to ease understanding. I think most are capable of getting the overall idea captured by the multitude of images provided and the article. I do apologise that it wasn't the case for you.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

That's why I have 4 pillows. For myself. No joke between my wife and I we have 9 on our bed

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Exactly. Op's way would leave my neck in pain, but so does a pillow that jacks up my head to near vertical.

by Feeling-Network 1 week ago

I love an old, beat-up pillow. The flatter, the better.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I have had the same flat worn out pillow for the last 20 years, it's gross, it may cause me to die early, but i don't care. It's so flat and perfect I can't sleep with anything else. Plus after these many years it became versatile, I can fold it and have a semi-bulky pillow or even position it vertically and have my neck fully supported.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

it's gross, it may cause me to die early, but i don't care. Now that's some serious pillow commitment.

by Brownjoana 1 week ago

Same. Even if it's not good for me. Can never sleep with bulky pillows.

by Western-Drag 1 week ago

Flatsie!!!

Says the person who doesn't sleep on their side.

by Middle_Wear 1 week ago

I have always slept on my side. And always had neck/shoulder pain until very recently. I got a cheap pillow without much bulk and it has changed my life. Maybe I sleep a bit more on my stomach than most side sleepers? But I've never had a cheap pillow until like three months ago and I am so surprised.

by Blakebarton 1 week ago

That's the truth.

by liamgrimes 1 week ago

I don't use a pillow! I sleep on my stomach and it's most comfortable for me not to use a pillow at all. To each their own :)

by Wooden_Professor 1 week ago

I sleep on my stomach and always use one of my arms to rest my head on. Literally can't fall asleep any other way.

by doylereymundo 1 week ago

I am a stomach sleeper also and used to do this until i found a really thin pillow and it changed my sleep for the better, if you want the pillow brand let me know and ill check when i get home

by Anonymous 1 week ago

It's about the sleeping position and different bodies. If you sleep on your side, like the majority of people, you will need a pillow as thick as half your torso to get your spine in one line.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I don't care how thick it is I need it to be hard

by Ok-Literature 1 week ago

That's what she said.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Um, yeah

by Ok-Literature 1 week ago

I've spent 100s on super expensive supportive pillows. And my favorite by far is the worn out $5 pillow from Walmart. Totally agree.

by Ilowe 1 week ago

I'm with you on this one. My neck hurts the next morning if I use a standard pillow

by Exciting-Resource 1 week ago

I usually use a towel or blanket myself. Form to whatever shape and height you want

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Yeah but the rest of us aren't in prison.

by Due_Homework 1 week ago

If you like this, look into a buckwheat pillow, stable but can be moved into whatever shape you want

by Fun_Topic_4289 1 week ago

My big shoulders would disagree heavily. I need a bulky pillow and a freezing cold room.

by Suspicious_Edge 1 week ago

I like a flatter pillow; if it's even slightly too thick, my neck hurts when I wake up. I'm so particular, I usually bring mine from home when I travel.

by New-Pea-5849 1 week ago

I don't like 'ultra thin' but I don't like big bulky. My favorite is a contoured memory foam pillow that has one side contoured for back sleeping, but do a 180 and it's geared for side sleeping. And my extra pillow I keep at my partners house is a non-bulk memory foam one as well. Bulky ones make me feel like I'm going to choke in my sleep.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I have two flat old pillows and one fluffy one. I sleep on all of them depending on how I'm laying

by Anonymous 1 week ago

you're sleeping on your back, I take it. the point of the pillow is to straighten your spine when sleeping on the side actually. a big pillow under your head when on your back will make your head push forward in a very not-ok position. but not having head support on the side, your head will fall to the level of your shoulder, which is not great.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Do you sleep on your back? If you sleep on your side (or even your stomach), it can be good to have a supportive bed pillow so that your head isn't down, making your neck at an awkward angle all night (which could cause neck pain in the morning)..

by Miserable_Whereas921 1 week ago

Yes! One that is barely there.

by maximilliamertz 1 week ago

I don't use any pillows. I think they're uncomfortable lol

by Fluffy-Corgi 1 week ago

Because I like my head higher than my feet

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Then don't sleep upside down like a bat

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I agree. This is the perfect pillow.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I literally can't can't sleep with more than 1 pillow

by Trick-Mouse-3399 1 week ago

Me too lol.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

As a teen and in my early 20s 100 percent. But I feel like getting older sometimes is just needing more pillows thus accumulating them for comfort

by Difficult-Tackle 1 week ago

Hotels with huge pillows drive me crazy. So I have to take my nice cold flat pillow everywhere we go now

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I feel like hotels have large pillows just for the aesthetic of it. I've never found hotel pillows to be comfortable.

by Lockmanjalyn 1 week ago

Have any of you thin pillow people considered those of us with wide shoulders that sleep on our sides? Lol… I Love, our reflexive bias that assumes all the peoples are experiencing all the things in the same way. 🥸🖤🏴‍☠️

by Anonymous 1 week ago

This is such a personal take. Everyone will have their own personal preference. How is this unpopular?

by vancepadberg 1 week ago

I use 2 big bulky pillows stacked. I can sleep anyway anywhere but for max comfort and best sleep it's on my back with 2 thick ass pillows so my head is more upright

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I sleep with 3 pillows under my head. Deviated septum and my nose clogs if I lay too flat, It sucks.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Tempur-Pedic cooling pillow is where it's at. Thin pillows cause me to toss n turn, give me a sore neck and a headache. Always have since I was a kid.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

100 percent agree. I can only sleep on my back with no room left or right to turn. No pillow is best. That way my spine is straight. In fact that's how my great great great great great grandfather slept. On his back with no pillows. Just his buddies and him side to side on big ships.

by Egleichner 1 week ago

I agree. I buy cheap fiberfill pillows that I can scrunch up where I need support. I was having chronic neck aches with even a firm down pillow. Will never go back to the fancy pillows.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

It's different for everybody, but I have found over the years experimenting with firmer mattresses and less cushy pillows has a made a huge difference. Something that is immediately super comfortable when you lie on it might not be the best for you back and neck overnight and in the long run. I still can't sleep without a million pillows though.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I was having constant neck pain with my old pillow The pillow that I bought to fix this contours to my neck so my neck is always straight while I sleep I guarantee you it is better than your cardboard pillow

by kenny95 1 week ago

I have an expensive memory foam pillow. I find my neck and back feel better with my old cheap pillow. The memory foam one is good if I'm sitting upright though!

by Blakebarton 1 week ago

I use a bunch of pillows. I have like 7 pillows on my bed that I use. They are comfy and supports my head so I don't get sleep apnea. I kept getting sleep apnea throughout my life because I only used one pillow and I almost died quite a few times.

by evangeline67 1 week ago

Yes! It's horrible to have this preference because anytime I sleep outside of home I'm almost always relegated to using towels folded as a pillow

by No-Respond-2262 1 week ago

Pillows itself shouldn't be used, it's the worst thing for your spine.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

pillows also depend on your body type. you must be a skinny fork

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I just can't sleep with 1 thin pillow and due to I sleep on my side and need amf extra pillow. People are different so if some of us need the ekstra pillow then let us please have it.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

This info is medically approved.

by Business-Remote922 1 week ago

I use one of those ergonomic pillows or whatever that have neck support and it's been a game changer for my sleep

by Ashamed-Meringue3981 1 week ago

I agree! I love my old super flat pillow. Brings me joy haha

by katrinaaltenwer 1 week ago

same

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Yes!

by Anonymous 1 week ago

wow! a genuinely unpopular opinion!

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I use 4 ultra firm thick pillows; my chin is pushed into my chest when I sleep ... So no

by Lou50 1 week ago

Y'all have tiny shoulders

by Longjumping-Lab 1 week ago

Yes.

by Dazzling-Passage9044 1 week ago

I use my arm or bunch up the blanket

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Tell me you don't sleep on your side without telling me you don't sleep on your side.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Don't mess with me and my multiple bulky, fluffy pillows

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I can't sleep on those ultra thin pillows. I have to have enough pillows I'm almost sitting up or I wake up in the middle of the night gasping for breath.

by dillanrath 1 week ago

walmart sells them 5$ pillows. its the best pillow ive ever slept on. i can wash them too in the laundry machine no problems

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Yes!!! If I sleep with thick pillows, better believe I have a stiff neck the next morning. They say wine gets better as they age, so do beaten up pillows LOL

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Yes! Flasty pillows rule!!!

by tonymueller 1 week ago

I like to switch pillow types lmao

by Odellgerlach 1 week ago

I sleep with no pillow

by Morarhester 1 week ago

Can't beat feather pillows.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I mean you can but you'll just be wasting your time.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Are you an AirBnB owner? It seems like they all think like you.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I know this is shocking to some, but different people have different bodies, and different experiences of life, and having totally different preferences doesn't make either of you "wrong".

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I use TEMPUR butterfly pillow. You will need no other pillow in your life.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Couldn't afford no other pillow if I bought that

by Disastrous_Draw3723 1 week ago

Yeah, it is definitely on the more expensive side... But it is worth it. I had a very bad back pain since I always slept on the folded feather pillow... once I got this, it is like being in heaven. Also - no sweating. When I bought it, it cost 240 eur so it is pretty cheap now. You spend 1/3 of your life in bed... Make it enjoyable experience! :)
