+29 Finland and north korea are separated by only one country, amirite?

by Shagenes 1 week ago

The USA is also separated from these nations by only one country, which is less than 4 kilometers away.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Yeah I wonder why NK makes such a big deal about their nukes being able to reach the US when it's only one country away!

by AccomplishedEbb3401 1 week ago

You know, things that don't make sense to do elsewhere makes perfect sense to do in politics.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Actually is it due to earth's spin, that missles hitting US from North Korea is amazing?

by Anonymous 1 week ago

USA is closer to N. Korea than Europe by about 200 miles

by damon00 1 week ago

That's only if you include sea borders though

by One-Marsupial 1 week ago

It's only 2.4 miles

by UpperFan 1 week ago

and can't you walk across it when it's frozen in winter?

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Same with Norway. It's always funny to bring up because people forget just how vast Russia is.

by Handbridie 1 week ago

Norway and north korea are also seperated alphabetically by only one country

by Anonymous 1 week ago

And France's longest border is with Brazil.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Surprisingly, this also applies to Poland because of Kaliningrad

by Deep-Challenge 1 week ago

Separated by the worlds largest country

by Anonymous 1 week ago

and yet they can't get enough

by uryan 1 week ago

Isn't it the same for Norway, Estonia etc?

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Yes. I'd actually use Norway in this example since it's even further away technically

by Fit_Traffic_1237 1 week ago

Same with Poland and North Korea

by UpperFan 1 week ago

Kaliningrad exclave right?

by Electronic-Shine 1 week ago

If you're going to go that way, might as well say Brazil and Switzerland

by Fun-Abies-3996 1 week ago

No need to convince me, I am also horrified by what they are doing. And I also know that majority of population support this horror. I was just trying to make a point that besides this current situation where a crazy man decided to start war, there is a country with its history and culture and people (minority though) who kept their brains intact fron propaganda

by Gagegutkowski 1 week ago

and yet, your semantics work for ruzzian propaganda just as well. every country has history and culture and people. What it has to do with the fact that they are the one country that is objectively evil right now? And I find it odd that you defend that after what you said just now.

Taking in account daily injuries and casualties to Ukrainian drones in Belgorod, I guess that the only difference is missile availability. It is not like Ukraine wouldn't attack civilians, they just don't have enough means to do that at the same scale. So what is your point?

by Anonymous 1 week ago

My point is Belgorod is a launching pad of ruzzian agression (one of many) from get go, and retaliation started only awhile ago. And Ukaraine doesn't deliberetly target civilians, while ruzzo uses double-tap strikes to kill as many medics and firefighters on site as possible. Latest one was in Kharkiv - the city that is being bombed from Belgorod. So my point is that you need to learn a difference between "invasion" and "self-defence"

by uryan 1 week ago

Belgorod is a launching pad of ruzzian agression The city itself? Ukaraine doesn't deliberetly target civilians Direct drone hits at shopping malls, civilian vehicles, hoses, pedestrians prove otherwise. So my point is that you need to learn a difference between "invasion" and "self-defence" And you should learn that war crimes and atrocities are still war crimes and atrocities even if your country is invaded. Attacks on civilians aren't "self defence" no matter how you look at it. If you say otherwise, it's mental gymnastics.

You are just walking "whataboutism" definition. For you putin is of course right, I have no doubt about it.

by uryan 1 week ago

I'm interested to see how this one ages

by Anonymous 1 week ago

It's wild how close they are geographically but how different they are politically and culturally.

by Dramatic-Ride 1 week ago

They are not close geographically LMAO

by Anonymous 1 week ago

That's not what geographically close means.

by Special-Move-5295 1 week ago
