Southerners always over exaggerate about sweet tea, it's just tea with sugar you can literally put sugar in any tea and it will be sweet tea it's nothing special

I never though much about it, although I am slightly peeved when it's called "sweet tea." Tea is not sweet. Tea is sweetened. And tea is not "unsweet" or "unsweetened:; it's simply tea. But you're right. Too much hype. Nothing interesting about it.
