Southerners always over exaggerate about sweet tea, it's just tea with sugar you can literally put sugar in any tea and it will be sweet tea it's nothing special

I never though much about it, although I am slightly peeved when it's called "sweet tea." Tea is not sweet. Tea is sweetened. And tea is not "unsweet" or "unsweetened:; it's simply tea. But you're right. Too much hype. Nothing interesting about it.

Sweet tea is a tea that was sweetened while brewing. Sweetened tea is a tea that is sweetened after brewing.

So what you're saying is: Sweet tea is tea that has been sweetened. lol My point still stands. It's sweetened one way or the other.
