Common saying in my house, "We could have had Corgis and been rich"

by haleysedrick 1 week ago

Dogs are also expensive if you care for them well.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Not even close to children

by modestomoen 1 week ago

Preach, brother!

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Some Tibetan mastiff puppies have sold for over a million dollars, I am not joking.

by fadelmarcos 1 week ago

My dog was $100 bucks for adoption, which included spay and shots. Another $60 for food every other month probably, a kennel for when I'm at work, collar, leash, and some toys, and she's a happy dog.

by Independent_Area 1 week ago

Corgis especially are prone to health problems

by Anonymous 1 week ago

It's free to play but in game purchase is tremendous

by Anonymous 1 week ago

My son lost at level 4. Lol noob.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

it costs immense pain and hospital bills to get them

Wallet: Ight imma head out

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Painless births in Canada and Mexico apparently

by maureenlemke 1 week ago

TIL women only go into labor in 3 countries. Apparently they lay eggs in the rest of the world.

by jimmieschamberg 1 week ago

This is why America is number 1. Best at so many things like highest hospital fee and school shootings.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

So long story short, they're the most expensive thing in the world.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

And if you do it correctly the most valuable thing in the world as well.

by Mckenziemaya 1 week ago

I guess a bugati is still more expensive

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Maybe to make, but not for upkeep.

Sex is free

by Artistic_Reading_520 1 week ago

Eh, yeah, but maintaining a pregnancy is not.

by Della56 1 week ago

Cheap to build, expensive to maintain

by Gold-Consequence 1 week ago

The highest cost is time

by maureenlemke 1 week ago

Tell that to someone who had in vitro or adopted.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Spent 10k on IVF. Worth every penny ☺️

by monique80 1 week ago

In some countries you get IVF for free...

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I've heard in some countries you can even get even if you don't want it.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I would say being pregnant is a huge personal cost. 9 months of discomfort

by Educational_Room 1 week ago

… and cost. Vitamins, minerals, maybe having HG and almost dying for 6-9 months, unable to work, etc.

by Della56 1 week ago

it costs nothong to get them cries in the American healthcare system

by connellydeion 1 week ago

Yeah they're like used high mileage German luxury cars

A Fukkswagen?

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Thats why providing accessible birth control would save everyone money.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Children are the equivalent of a hard to cancel free trial. free at first, ends up costing lots more in the long run. until they move out. (equivalent of finally talking to a real customer service agent after a minimum a month on hold

by woodrow14 1 week ago

Something like a timeshare that you're stuck 24/7/365

by hermistonmaxime 1 week ago

Yeah kids follow the "Give them the printer. Sell them the ink." marketing concept. You can basically trip and fall and kids will come out. But once they are there, the refilling and maintenance costs are insane.

by Turbulent_Concern 1 week ago

Free to make, expensive to deliver (inefficient logistics. I mean, 9 months shipping from when you order?) and expensive to maintain.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

This is not a profound statement.

by dolores95 1 week ago

More like pregnancy is the cheapest. Children, from delivery till our (parents) or their deaths, cost tons

by Anonymous 1 week ago

American?

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Absolutely no part of the process is cheap. Y'all getting Electric Forrest festival pussy or something? Even that costs 40$

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Some people are in long term Dinc relationships before they have kids.

by AgeIntrepid4399 1 week ago

Two things can be true at the same time.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

They are never the cheapest

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Getting them is cheap, keeping them is expensive.

The lexmark printers of nature

by Key_Umpire4004 1 week ago

Perfect example for follow-up costs. You might get it cheap, but keeping it will be crazy expensive

by Serious_Let 1 week ago

My kids cost half a mil by the time we left the hospital.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Nothing greater worth investing in

by maureenlemke 1 week ago

Cheapest to create, most expensive to maintain.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Theyre cheap if you raise them free range and ensure their environment contains the necessary nutrients for their diet. Say, behind a mcdonald's, restaurant dumpsters, etc. This is highly economical although the downside is this diet does negatively impact their meat quality. It's good to get them occasional checkups - you wouldnt want to get a parasite haha, gross!

by voberbrunner 1 week ago

Cheap to produce, expensive to maintain.

by IllCup 1 week ago

They're expensive, but are they really the most expensive thing in the world?

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Kids are only expensive monetarily and emotionally if you're a good parent. There's a way to get your tax deductions without committing to raising them properly.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Unless you want to buy an Orphan that is.. Which is actually a thing in Sweden. Not sure why. I tried to adopt a child last year only to find out I have to spend around 3000 sek just to visit the kids. Then I found out its like a 3 months trial and error just to reach out to them about. I eventually gave up.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

😬 Sounds like you have never been pregnant.

by Della56 1 week ago

Cheapest to make, the most expensive to take care

by ProfessionalBus278 1 week ago

Low cost of acquisition, high cost of ownership

Children are one of the worst STDs.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

cheapest thing in the world Hardly. There are things in the world that cost much less resources to obtain. Wait. You didn't think fiat currency is the only abstraction of value with which you can measure cost, did you? Hahahaha!!! Idiot.
