An actual unpopular opinion but I gotta disagree. Being too close ruins the cinematography and hurts the neck.

You may be closer to the speakers but you are getting a worse audio experience. The reason that many people sit in roughly the middle is because a lot of movies are mixed from seats similar distances away. Proportions of things of the screen may also be changed due to the perspective. You are in fact, from a technical standpoint, getting a worse experience in the front
