FM radio stations shouldn't have DJs, amirite?
by keenan662 weeks ago
I used to be a DJ.Yeah, you're in the right: Shut Up, quit talking and just play the music! straight up.

Why not just use spotify or apple music if you just wanna listen to music without the DJs?

Not everyone has a car with a radio that has functions to play their phones.

No but an fm transmitter cost $10 and that's not something that's inaccessible to the vast majority of car owners

Read an article many years back about a computerized DJ called "Jack FM" that was being used for the mid-day programming. It would just run thru a playlist, periodically saying DJ stuff like "here's another one from the 90's" in between songs.

Just use like Yt music or something I don't understand why it's a issue. It's completely your choice to listen to radio.

Morning show DJs are the most profitable (most ears) for a radio station by a long shot.

You hear the DJ more then the goddamn song most of the time, truly the ghetto version of entertainment.

How is it the ghetto version of entertainment?

I want to hear songs all the time, not hours long commercials and radio segments with some songs sandwiched in between. Whenever the DJ comes on, you don't even know when the next song is coming up because they could take forever or be brief, who knows?

How does that make it a ghetto form of entertainment?
