Idk I like to let my pizza cook for about 6.5 minutes before eating it and don't have this problem. It's still hot enough, but cool enough to destroy the entire pie with reckless abandon in a short period of time.

I agree, but not because of the heat. You get the flavors better with it upside down because the ingredients are facing your tastebuds vs the dough
