Why should we make it a competition? Why can't we just enjoy all this amazing music without making this unnecessary comparisons?

I don't mean to compare how music vs music, just how good they are vs the status they have within their niche and how well regarded they appear mainstream wise, it's insane Heart only got introduced to the Hall of Fame in 2013. So it's a matter of the appreciation they get in the Rock vs other bands and that can encompass the entirety of bands, even some that belong to very different movements.
