-33 This beef between Kendrick and Drake and pretty much every beef in hip hop lately is so corny. amirite?

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Yea the cover art, that screen shot of the citizens app of drakes house with like 12 registered sex offenders there. This is much more than a corny rap battle.

by rita48 1 week ago

That's what that image is

by Hot-Manufacturer 1 week ago

Yep

by rita48 1 week ago

No wonder everyone is making the joke of drake getting his n word pass revoked

by Hot-Manufacturer 1 week ago

Seems unlikely, r Kelly and p diddy had loads of allegations and lawsuits for decades, drakes never had any direct allegations against him. Not that I'm saying he must be innocent but unlikely he's anywhere near those levels if he's had no allegations his whole career

by Anonymous 1 week ago

The main people that everyone likes to bring up defend him on that front. The only one they have is the stage performance which I won't attempt to defend.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Idk this is some of the best rap music over heard for years especially coming from Kendrick.

by martina29 1 week ago

My man dropped like 4 tracks in the span of one day, each one getting progressively more unhinged than the last

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Drake may be a 10, but he likes his girls 11

by Every-Ad 1 week ago

Not Like Us is fantastic. 10/10 Shhhhh - I see dead people

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I am obsessed w euphoria. I had to look up the lyrics, i couldn't catch everything he was putting down lol. The pusha t references were crayyyzyyyyy

by Anonymous 1 week ago

you think they should go beat up or shoot eachother? this beef gave us great disses of people who really hate eachother , great entertainment overall

by Anonymous 1 week ago

It reveals that toxic black masculinity has not changed even after all the progress everyone achieved through Black Lives Matter. All of America is concerned at this consistent trend.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Someone being dissed in rap for not taking care of their kids and disrespecting women is far more progressive than hip hop from pretty much any era

by ludie54 1 week ago

BLM was about not murdering black people in the streets, not toxic masculinity; what are you on about dude? If a rap beef makes someone think that we all deserve to be murdered then idk what to say.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I agree that TM is an issue, but it has nothing to do with the goals of the BLM movement.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Wait I'm confused, it's immature to not fight or kill, and I'm assuming mature to fight or kill? You got your world backwards homie.

by Nkonopelski 1 week ago

I believe OP was calling out the whole fake gangster vibe than saying fighting is mature. These guys are like grown-ups stuck in a teenager's mindset, selling this whole unrealistic lifestyle. Honestly, I'm scratching my head wondering why anyone would look up to that.

by Gullible-Stand 1 week ago

I feel like you don't listen to much of Kendrick Lamar's music

by mikayla31 1 week ago

Yea prob not lol

by rita48 1 week ago

Bare in mind they are selling products, their target market is teenage boys so they have to act like teenage boys. They act like mature grown ups they no longer have a marketable product

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Didn't say I want these two to kill each other. I think the beef is just lame. Anybody who is a multimillionaire beefing over rap is lame but these two aren't even gangsters so why are they projecting so hard and more baffling, why are people eating it up like this is some boxing match?

by Anonymous 1 week ago

dude Kendrick is literally claiming that Drake is harboring a system of sex offenders this isn't just rap beef the dude hates Drake as a person

by Anonymous 1 week ago

We've come a long way since "I rock hoes, y'all rock fellas".

by Anonymous 1 week ago

You don't need to be a gangster to beef on the mic, barely any gangsters beef on the mic. But hey if that's what you want that's what you want.

by Nkonopelski 1 week ago

You think that Kendrick calling out pedophilia is lame?

by Funny_Combination999 1 week ago

do you not understand that rhymes hurt more than bullets? /s

by Nettie04 1 week ago

What do you mean

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I don't care about hip hop beef lol, In fact I don't even hardly ever listen to rap 😏 I'm so interesting and quirky 🤪

by Everett83 1 week ago

Maybe Drake shouldn't be kissing minors......

by Hallieschaden 1 week ago

Drake is pop, not hip hop.

by Ruthlesch 1 week ago

He definitely likes to play hop on pop with underage girls though

by Anonymous 1 week ago

O no

by Jonesavery 1 week ago

Damn

by Anonymous 1 week ago

His first mixtape was definitely hip hop centered. The pop beginnings are still there on some songs but it's hip hop and it's what got him signed with Young Money initially. I'd argue he's crossover at this point but he still is "a rapper" in the barest sense of the word, just as he's also a singer.

by Puzzled_Quantity_349 1 week ago

Found the Drake fan.

by Ruthlesch 1 week ago

Because I can remember 2006 when he first came out? I'm a lil Wayne fan, knowing Drake is a side effect.

by Puzzled_Quantity_349 1 week ago

Have you and Drake set a date for your wedding?

by Ruthlesch 1 week ago

You'd have a hard time finding any drake music on my computer or phone, aside from a handful of old young money songs, idk where you're getting the idea that I'm some Drake fanboy.

by Puzzled_Quantity_349 1 week ago

Between the 2 of you, that guy doesn't come off as the one obsessed with Drake. Js

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Wow

by Ruthlesch 1 week ago

The lil Wayne that went on a F'ing public stage with a guitar and failed miserably trying to play a two note guitar solo? How could anyone ever be a fan of that?

by Baumbachemilian 1 week ago

Everyone involved in the rap beef everyone is talking about has a media article where they explicitly call Wayne a major influence. You're welcome to your opinion though, no one likes Wayne for Rebirth, it's the rest.

by Puzzled_Quantity_349 1 week ago

This is why it blows me away when I see people call hima goat rapper lol, he doesn't make rap music.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Yeah I listen to his music and enjoy quite a bit of it. It's good pop music 👍

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Go listen to Tuscan Leather by Drake. You can't tell me that's not a rap song from start to finish.

by valerieklocko 1 week ago

These people haven't ever listened to Drake other than what's played on the radio.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

You're out of your element.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Tell me you don't listen to hip hop without telling me you don't listen to him hop.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

He says he is pop. You're just sour because you love him and you want to suck his butt.

by Ruthlesch 1 week ago

Uh

by Typical_Shoe 1 week ago

Let the grown men write hateful poems about eachother. Everyone needs a way to express what they are feeling.

by Comfortable_Pair_353 1 week ago

I'm hungry for beef and corn now

by Anonymous 1 week ago

They should just make love already ffs

by jacobifrances 1 week ago

I'm gonna dedicate a whole bunch of energy to write an entire song about how much I don't care about you said in your song about me!

by Public-Count5445 1 week ago

Of course it's corny. Drake is involved

by Key_Working 1 week ago

And people are eating it up too. Like who cares

by Anonymous 1 week ago

If it gets drakes career ended im happy for it. The lamest music i heard in years and he seems to be a right c%nt

by Anonymous 1 week ago

It's just to keep them in the public eye and with drake to take the heat off other areas of his private life

by OverEstablishment424 1 week ago

What in his private life could be so bad that he'd prefer being publicly accused of being a pedophile?

by Desperate_Theme5508 1 week ago

I think the term beef is a bit corny no pun intended. Could they not call it something less beefy like, ‘expert level explain your anger with poetic language about someone you strongly dislike but secretly don't'. ‘To beats'. ‘Then sell them to the public and wait for your beloved. No, your enemy to respond to you in similar lyrical discourse so that that meat can get properly cooked and then be eaten. Wait what was i talking about… Ok I just found out and call out that nonce.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Bro wants people hes never met to get shot for his entertainment wtf is wrong with you 😭

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Name one hip hop beef that wasn't a little bit corny

by CoupleEnough 1 week ago

Yall buggin.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

This corn between Kendrick and Drake and pretty much every corn in hip hop lately is so beefy.

by Current_Sir 1 week ago

They're artists and will use their tools and talents to make pieces of art. Why lay a finger on Drake if I can generate money AND ruin his reputation at the same time? Plus there's a whole culture behind it that predates their careers that they probably grew up on

by EntireDragonfruit 1 week ago

Must not have been deep enough if you unironically think sexual trafficking and pedo accusations is just being corny. If the sexual trafficking accusation is true, that's career ending for Drake; no questions asked. If it isn't true, that's a massive loss on credibility from Kendrick as an artist.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Just two grown men writing poems about each other….

by Anonymous 1 week ago

This is truly an unpopular opinion. One of the biggest figures in the music industry potentially being exposed like this is unprecedented.

by Slight_Insurance 1 week ago

Did you want it turn into Pac and BIG's beef?

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Hip hop beefs being corny to me is mostly a defining characteristic, really. That whole genre is corny, my friend.

by Jonesavery 1 week ago

No of course they won't actually do anything. They'll just have their associates do it like with the Tupac murder. Wouldn't be surprised if one of them gets shot at. You must be pretty out of the loop cause rappers get killed everyday over beefs

by Anonymous 1 week ago

You do know being an actor or straight A student doesn't mean you're soft right? Have you seen Rico Reckless fight?

by Anonymous 1 week ago

~50% of dead rappers were murdered. There's definitely more rappers putting on facades these days but to say it's as safe as pop is silly.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

It's literally just a marketing scheme to generate more streams. Selling a story is marketing 101. Just shows how easy it is to manipulate public attention.

by wpouros 1 week ago

Lots of unpopular opinions about Kendrick and Drake lately.

by Rippinalverta 1 week ago

you do realise 99.999% of it is just made up to sell records right? rap is the pro wrestling of music

by Future_Character_443 1 week ago

How exactly does drake being outed as a pedophile help him sell records?

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Why do famous African Americans sing about killing one another. I find that to be EXTREMELY problematic in light of recent events and civil rights progress.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

yeah we should let our voice heard SMH

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I'M A BIG SCARY RAPPER AND I'M MAD AT SOMEONE SO I'M GOING TO WRITE MEAN POETRY ABOUT HIM.

by Hannadicki 1 week ago

Drake is a pedophile. Kendrick calling him out needed to happen

by Funny_Combination999 1 week ago

I'm pretty sure most of these beefs are negotiated and organized lmao

by Fabulous-Barber 1 week ago

What meaningful stuff do you want people to consider? Like this is just music and entertainment. People are listening and being entertained?

by Anonymous 1 week ago

This is like watching people fighting in a road rage and calling it entertainment. Worse than the beef is the grown-ups cheering at it. This is not fun. This is vile. Comedians know how to throw jabs at each other without taking it seriously. Why do rappers have to act so psycho sometimes?

by Substantial-Sky 1 week ago

Bars for Palestine obvi

by PrettyBowl4387 1 week ago

It's all manufactured to get popular anyway. Just like every other "beef" in history.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Beefs in hip hop have always been corny. Put these people in the same room together, and I doubt if they even throw hands.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Have you listened to Kendricks music?

by Funny_Combination999 1 week ago

Don't need to, hip hop is trash.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Why does anyone care 😂 I find it even funnier that they fancy themselves musicians/artists. It's cute

by Lumpy-Bad 1 week ago

More-so referring to drake but yeah Kendrick isn't blowing my hair back either. By connoisseur you mean being exposed to music that has blown my mind in terms of what is incredibly catchy and technically amazing? Yeah, it's gonna take quite the rapper to impress me. Aesop Rock, Tech N9ne, Eminem, RZA, Nate Dogg, etc. those are prolly my go-to rappers. there's not many that have me willfully listening to rap on the regular because they just don't have the chops to compete with other genres

by Lumpy-Bad 1 week ago

Lmao the jokes write themselves

by Guillermo50 1 week ago

And who would you say has more technically impressive flow?

by Lumpy-Bad 1 week ago

lol

by Anonymous 1 week ago

What these supposed "musicians" are producing is not music.

by Baumbachemilian 1 week ago

I once heard someone describe rap beefs as two grown men sitting around writing poems about each other. Just the fact we still call them "beefs" shows how lame and outdated the whole idea is

by Amitchell 1 week ago

neither can actually freestyle so they have to pretend to battle rap with a few hours delay to rehearse all their lines lol

by Anonymous 1 week ago

But their supporters, like MAGA supporters, will do stupid things. But yes, the artists will never get physical.

by deonruecker 1 week ago

Stupid things like what?

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Like take actions based on the words of the artist/speaker.

by deonruecker 1 week ago
