+46 Large enough Companies can just whack people now, and nothing happens to them. amirite?

by Negative_Energy4376 1 week ago

So, we're talking about Boeing, yeah?

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I'm sure others also do it , they probably just got "caught" first

by Negative_Energy4376 1 week ago

Epstein could have easily also been billionaires. Hard to decipher a government whack job versus the corporate ones

by Anonymous 1 week ago

This is closer to the truth than any of us know. You have to look at who has what to loose in these situations. It usually comes back to shady back room dealings at a government level.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Wait, what? I'm out of the loop - what happened?

by ymaggio 1 week ago

2 Boeing whistleblowers died recently. Obviously there's no evidence for anything but the first guy who died told his family as a heads up that he would never do anything to himself days before apparently committing suicide. So it obviously looks incredibly suspicious

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Furthermore, the first guy supposedly committed suicide while in the middle of testifying.

by taylorjerde 1 week ago

Yes, we're talking about Boeing who has definitely had something to do with the murder of two whistleblowers in the last month.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

That was my first though too. Big companies could always have people killed with little to no consequences. If anything it is happening a lot less now than it used to.

by Character-Ear2398 1 week ago

Read about the Baldwin-Felts agency in America, or how Panama became a country. Basically, it's always been this way.

I'm currently being sued by a non profit for trying to point out incompetence and fraud. It's really fun giving years of your life to help a community and end up like this because some 80 yr was embarrassed by me pointing out his obvious nepotism and general disdain for doing any of the volunteer work he said he would do, but hey at least I'm not dead... Yet

by Anonymous 1 week ago

You made that mistake of going against the grain. Something that a company, even if deserved ,can rarely tolerate

by Negative_Energy4376 1 week ago

Correct. It is interesting to see firsthand how much boomers focus on what they think versus what their actual knowledge and experience lends to.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

You say boomers but I've seen this way worse from younger generations (saying this as a millennial myself)

by Xberge 1 week ago

What exactly is he suing you for?

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I've seen companies cripple people financially, which is obviously a form of life ruination, but I don't think I've seen a company assassinate someone they deemed problematic.

by NumerousPeanut 1 week ago

Well they aren't exactly putting it in their annual report

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I wonder if you can claim losses caused by an employee being murdered as a business deductible on tax 🤔 We know companies kill people but are they incentivised to do so??

by jackson83 1 week ago

True. They always used their power and means To do damage to certain people, which is bad enough, but now they reached the "next phase " so to speak.

by Negative_Energy4376 1 week ago

And suspicious in the timing ignores the fact that it would only be worth whacking a whistleblower BEFORE their allegations are made public, not after.

by PerformanceBig3200 1 week ago

Yep, after they gone viral, its not really worth whack them but rather destroy their credibility and turn them into some kind of clown with the media

by lori09 1 week ago

It depends, if the person has made public accusations but not specified details or have had time to testify, then it can absolutely still be worth it for some executives. It could be the difference between a bad reputation and prison.

by taylorjerde 1 week ago

It's called Tecno feudalism.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

That seems like an accurate description

by Negative_Energy4376 1 week ago

Actually, it's technofeudalism. It comes from "technology feudalism".

by Helpful-Ebb 1 week ago

Most people would probably argue that such things can't happen in the Western world. Whacking people? No.... That's something the Russians would do. Go figure

by Negative_Energy4376 1 week ago

If you put it that way, yeah maybe. We don't actually know if either of the Boeing whistleblowers were whacked. It does make a good headline though. I believe the first whistleblower testified several times over years before dying.

by Content_Abrocoma7813 1 week ago

Died the day he was going to be vindicated too…

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Pretty sure it always happened, esp with big pharma

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Are we talking about Boeing?

by Anonymous 1 week ago

i mean like for a person that has to be proven first and they have to get convicted

by Anonymous 1 week ago

well.... its not really a recent thing, nor is this probably unpopular. Either way it sucks

by fritschnoemie 1 week ago

Now? Companies used to hire people to beat up their employees if they talked about going on strike

by BodybuilderNearby 1 week ago

First off, anyone with enough influence could always do this. Today it's probably even rarer Second, I struggle to see how this is an opinion, let alone an unpopular one

by Quirky-Sale 1 week ago

Coca-Cola is known for this

by Moist_Rabbit9244 1 week ago

They are putting people in walk in freezers or Susan from HR is hiding on your back car seat to use cheesewire?

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Always could.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Yea, but do you think anyone else is going to speak up now?

by Anonymous 1 week ago

And a solid portion of the ideological spectrum who in 2024 love corporations, will defend them to the end dismissing it as a conspiracy theory.

by hildaemard 1 week ago

So, at what point in history was society decent and normal?

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Kid of wild that people think NOW is the most uncivilized and dangerous time in history…. Like, it used to be the law to get your hand cut off if you stole something… death penalty if you stole a horse!! Like damn.

by Ok-Special 1 week ago

Are you referring to something in particular? Or just testing out some generic script here before pitching it to Netflix?

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Wait untill OP learns about the East India Company. The Amboyna massacre had 400year anniversary last year!

by Anonymous 1 week ago

When you book your flight choose to avoid their planes. Only way to do anything about this.

by IcySheepherder4762 1 week ago

Maybe it's time things turn around?

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Never heard of the Pinkertons? Homestead? Blair Mountain?

by considineariann 1 week ago

Boeing its obviously just a front for the Order of the assassins

by jmitchell 1 week ago

I am not sure what you're talking about. If they want to fire me, they have to give 3 months notice.
