As long as you're enjoying it, it isn't a waste of time. The point of watching TV is relax and be entertained and if it's doing that for you then goal achieved.

Its only a waste of time, if u dont enjoy it, and how is rewatching a show any different that, rereading a book, listening to the same songs, replaying games, or anything where u do something u already have done before? We like to go back to thinks we like, its really not that hard, or strange of a concept.

Because it doesn't need to be undiscovered or unseen to be interesting? That's a weird take. I could understand it if you talk about a movie where the plot is like „who's the murder" wich kinda is done after watching it. But no one cares about the mother in how I met your mother, it's just having a fun time watching it

With your logic people shoudnt either listen to a song twice, nor eat their favorite dish twice...Not "getting" why people re watch a show/movie doesnt mean its a waste of time. Sometimes people need to be reconect with the things that make their emotions spark and thrive, and for many its just rewatching a movie, listening to the same song 4 times in a row etc... I think you are just a depressed and joyless.

Living in the same planet its a waste of time. Why dont you go to another galaxy, far away from all of us? There are so many planets unexplored. Or you could just try a black hole and dissappear!! It must be a burden for you waking up every single day on the same planet. Rebreathing the same oxygen, rewalking on the same pavement, rewatching the same blue sky... must be hell for you!!

There is something very comforting in rewatching something you already watched and liked. Of course, I do agree that watching something 10 times doesn't make a lot of sense (unless you're 70 and you've just had that much time to forget and rewatch).. but at the end of the day that's all entertainment. If you're entertained watching something for the n-th time, then it's worth your time. Otherwise we can easily say watching anything even once is a waste of time.

It sounds (to you) like a waste of time. This suggests that you and your friend watch shows for different reasons. You, I'm guessing, probably watch to find out what happens. While you friend may watch a show because they enjoy it.
