+28 People outside of the US fee comfortable making fun of the US, because they can count on Americans not knowing enough about their country to properly criticize it. amirite?

I'm not so sure about your claim. However, as an American who has lived outside of the US for 16 of the last 20 years, I have noticed one trend: A lot of people like to criticize the US because they either aren't allowed to offer the same criticisms of their own country or because their government can point at the US so their citizens won't look at the problems in their own country.

In Australia, we learn very little about the US apart from their contribution to WW2. We mainly learn about our own history and Europe.

I have seen German doctors prescribe creams for what turned out to be a broken foot and two separate cases of skin cancer (three different people at three different German doctors).

Yup it's crazy but I can't blame them Any one symptom can have dozens to thousands of causes Hoping a doctor or the like can accurate diagnose them 100% of the time is purely a fever dream

Americans aren't criticised as a whole country, or individually. It's just that the rest of the world can see some screwed up systems and values in the US that most of you can't see yourselves.

"Most of you can't see yourselves", what? Americans are the harshest critics of America.

lol buddy we know about our problems more than anyone. Y'all just tend to assume that because we have elected representatives that that means the people wanting common sense reforms are the ones who win out. Someone should tell you guys about corporations.
