Of course it's necessary. It's the most spoken language in South America and Central America. It's also spoken in Spain. Languages like Occitan are unnecessary.

It is necessary, just as every other language because it helps different people to communicate. Period. You people are really stupid sometimes, just because you aren't able to pronounce it or because you don't have the mental capacity to learn it, it doesn't mean it isn't necessary. Some of the most beautiful things ever written are in Spanish... Just look at García Lorca, or Villaurrutia.

Different languages are unnecessary, everyone speaking the same language would be much more convenient, however, we keep these languages cause were proud of it and we want to keep one of the most important aspects of our culture
