orange: its like if yellow and red fucked...there i just did...
by Anonymous13 years ago
How is a colorblind person going to know what yellow and red look like? It's impossible dude...
by Anonymous13 years ago
^^ ahaha! But usually you can if you aren't/ aren't talking to someone blind or color blind.
by Anonymous13 years ago
^^ Not quite, it's hard to describe a color. Just think about it :P
by Anonymous13 years ago
pink: its red's gay nephew...see it's alot easier than you think =P
by Anonymous13 years ago
i think they meant that you can't describe a colour without using another colour..
by Anonymous13 years ago
Not really. Let's say you're talking to someone who isn't color blind or blind and you aren't either. Teal: blue-green, orange: the color of a carrot, turquoise: the color of most water in the tropics....
by Anonymous13 years ago
^^ That isn't describing a color. That is just relating to a color.
by Anonymous13 years ago
you cant describe a color without using another color. you cant say the color purple is like blending red or blue. its like trying to explain the taste of water. impossible. unless you say yellow is bright and black is dark
by Anonymous13 years ago
with temperature, sound, and emotion.
by Anonymous13 years ago
yeah there are warm and cool colors, and a lot of colors relate to emotion. you can write a poem about a color without saying the color
by Anonymous13 years ago
but what about describing the colors you're using to describe other colors?
by Anonymous13 years ago
You can't. Simple as that. Just think about it for a second. For example, how would you describe the color red as a lone color? There is no possible way to describe what red looks like. Red could be a totally different color to someone and they will never know what it really looks like. You can't say it's the color of blood, because that is not describing it. It's just saying what the color of blood is. You can't say it looks like pink only darker, because you can't describe the color pink as well. If you just think about this, you will see that it's just impossible.
by Anonymous13 years ago
^^ Exactly, its honestly impossible.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Red is like how you feel when you get so goddamn pissed at someone you just want to punch them
Pink is first dates and girlyness
Yellow is the first 80 degree day of summer, when the sun soaks into your skin and warms you bones
Black is mysterious, sexy, and dark
Orange is hyperness, crazy, and wild times
Purple is penguins, teenage girls, and coca cola
BEAT YA.
by Anonymous13 years ago
(Hi-lo:): Purple was always my favourite colour.
I find your description funny because I am a teenage girl, penguins are my fav animal and coca-cola is my fav drink (along with blue Powerade). XD
by Anonymous13 years ago
Ppl ppl ppl . You can describe a colour . Colours have different wave lengths and frequencies . For example blue has the longest wave length and red has the shortest .
by Anonymous13 years ago
You can only say you can describe something you see if you could describe it to a blind person.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Warm, Cool, Bright, Dull, Vibrant, Dark, Light, Vivid, Earthy, Pale, Neutral are all descriptive words for colors. And as for describing a "lone" color...Red is a bright, warm color . It's like the color of shock, emergency, alterness, or warning.
by Anonymous13 years ago
^^ Avis_Cyrus, that still doesn't work. I don't think you're seeing the picture here. Sure, red is bright and warm, but to describe the color of warm/shock/emergency etc to a blind/colorblind person would be typically impossible. You cannot, in any way at all, describe what a certain color looks like.
by Anonymous13 years ago
exactly ^^
by Anonymous13 years ago
^^ Some people just aren't getting it. It's physically impossible.
by Anonymous13 years ago
definitely. you can't describe a color, it's as simple as that. no exceptions or ifs, ands, nor buts. this has entirely become too complicated.
by Anonymous13 years ago
^^ Agreed. Just finish it off simple and quick and no questions asked.
