On a trip to one place with m family, there were people dressed like colonials, so everyone was in costume, right? I ended up asking my parents if one of the people in a colonial dress was a man or a woman. Actually, if my memory serves me, I directly asked them. Needless to say, my parents were horrified and the person probably felt like crap. If you are reading this colonial enthusiast, I sincerely apologize.
