I don't feel that bullying has gotten worse over the years, I feel that people have gotten more sensitive over the years.

I have to disagree a bit with that a little bit but kind of agree, I'm torn. I disagree with "talk , get hit" for a lot of reasons that I won't get into. It is unhealthy to not express anger with a "just brush it off" attitude. Some people are taken aback when people say rude or horrible things to them, and if they feel offended, they should say something, but they don't have to be violent or even aggressive. And not everyone who brushes it thing off has pent up emotions- I brush things off because I don't have emotions about them. Like if someone were to try to verbally bully me, I would ignore it because it doesn't matter, my self worth isn't determined by them- letting it matter only feeds their want to do it to you. Others do feel offended- If someone over steps boundary, you should express that in some way. My conclusion is that everyone has different boundaries and that if they're crossed that's when you need to express that in some way or it can be unhealthy, and that not everyone who brushes people off instead of standing up to them feels pent up emotion.

When I said, " talk , get hit" I was not necessarily talking about violence. Of course violence should be avoided at all costs, but if someone where to hit me, of course I am going to fight back, it's only human nature. When I said "talk , get hit" I was also talking about retaliation. If someone is going to try and bully me, I am going to stand up for myself and burn them right back. I understand that two wrongs don't make a right, but I feel that if people don't stand up for themselves every once in a while they are going to be trampled over time and time again; leading to low self esteem and mental health issues causing self harm and suicide in many teenagers and young adults in society today.

It's definitely both. More people are acting like jerks and pretending the entire world can suck it up when actually there are an increasing about of people who really cannot suck it up.

I was raised by the motto, "talk , get hit"
Now a days parents are raising their children to "just brush it off" or leave it alone, when in fact it doesn't get left alone, it gets built up inside until it can no longer be handled.

I don't think cell phones should be allowed in schools. Cell phones make it easier for students to cheat, and with land line phones in the offices, students don't truly "need" their cell phones with them.

I like how some of the earlier examples were "I was almost kidnapped" and "What if there was a shooting?" and you're like, "What if I can't find my friends?"

Lets be honest, what are the chances of a grown adolescent being kidnapped from school?
It's much more common for them to be lost without their friends.

Who the hell would try to argue that basketball is not a sport?
But anyways, some "sports" are really only activities. (cheerleading, golf, racing etc...) The only people who believe that such activities are actually sports are the people participating in them; probably because they just want the satisfaction of saying they play a sport.
I don't like baseball, but baseball is obviously a sport and I would sound incredibly ignorant if I tried to convince people that it isn't one.

Actually, yes I do. I just put my 8 year old in swimming lessons. $130 without membership at our local YMCA.
& FYI she went from being terrified of being near open water to being a little fish in the ocean.& plus they taught her the basic lifeguard/water safety rules.

And then what? wait there with no food and drinkable water until the flood water subsides? Sounds easier to just learn how to swim.

Yeah, because boats never sink or anything; and people always have convenient boats around them when flash flooding occurs.

It must be pretty bleak to give birth to a child with a defect. Imagine - you're so excited to watch them grow and blossom, to have amazing conversations, go on holidays, first day of school, prom, weddings etc...and then they come out retarded or something. You would feel disappointed, amirite?

I wish there was a "kind of" button for this post.
Although I would be sad, and disappointed to give birth to a child with birth defects, because of the fact that every parent wants their child to be healthy and happy; I would still LOVE that child unconditionally and be supportive of them in everything they go through and be proud to be their parent nonetheless.

I am by no means insulting or bashing or against people who are fat or obese.
I am not saying they should not have self esteem and feel comfortable in the (extra) skin they have.
I think everyone skinny-obese deserves the same amount of respect as we are all human.
this post was more or less of a joke,

You think age does matter to some extent in a ralationship, amirite?
111 Comments +357 / 96%
When two people are in love, age is completely irrelevant.
There is a 7 year age difference between me and my boyfriend, and we have been together for over a year now without age even crossing my mind.
We are both in different stages in our lives as well and we are both very comprehensive of each others situations. Him being a father in his mid 20's and ready to settle down, and me just finishing up my first year in college.
As long as the two people are at a mature age, age shouldn't matter; whether it be a few months or more than a few years. If two people REALLY love each other a small thing like age difference shouldn't come in between them.
