There once was a duck who was uglier than all of the other ducklings, let's call him Phil. Everyday Phil would swim around the pond and everyday the other ducklings would mock him by shouting, "Bat face! Bat face!" They never included him in their games and Phil was more often than not left alone to gaze at his own hideous reflection on the pond's surface. One day as Phil made his rounds of the pond he spotted an eagle on the horizon. "Eagle!" He thought and "Eagle" he cried to the others as he swam over to the group. But they wouldn't listen. "Phil thinks he sees an eagle" they scoffed, and promptly they went back to their duck games. So Phil pecked them and scratched them and shoved them into the underbrush. And just in time, as the last one tumbled into hiding the eagle's shadow passed over top and away again into the distance. "You bully!" Shouted the others. "If you peck us we'll peck you back!" And Phil let them. Because he knew that he was the hero they deserved, but not the one they needed. Because he was a watchful protector, a silent guardian.

A dark knight.

You know what I just realised? Women aren't locks and men aren't keys. We're all human beings with complex emotions and sexualities and no-one should have the right to decide who can enjoy having more than one sexual partner and who can't based on their gender. If a woman wants to have ** with multiple partners without getting into relationships with them and she practices safe ** then why can't she? What right does anyone, male or female, have to look down on her? Stop acting like there's one rule for men and one for women, we aren't living in the 50s anymore.

I made this post to spark discussion. Please comment below how you feel and why.

Gut feeling/fear of the unknown are not acceptable arguments to support your case.

(and willingness to perform) various sexual practices are more likely than men's to change over time.
Women who regularly attend church are less likely to have permissive attitudes about **. Men do not show this connection between church attendance and ** attitudes.
Women are more influenced by the attitudes of their peer group in their decisions about ****.
Women with higher education levels were more likely to have performed a wider variety of sexual practices (such as oral ****); education made less of a difference with men.
Women were more likely than men to show inconsistency between their expressed values about sexual activities such as premarital **** and their actual behavior.

There's more, but this is 3 comments already and that's enough.

I don't agree with any of that. The thing is, there will be as many statistics saying that women like ** as much as men as there are statistics that disagree. I've read plenty that argue women are just as visually stimulated as men are by say, or what have you. Our will swell at the sight of sexually explicit material just as a mans would. The inconsistencies in these studies, to me, seems to derive from the fact that women are programed to not want . All or lives we're bombarded with the idea that "good girls don't do that" and that we should stay "pure" and other such . I think the only logical way to make a decision on this matter is to base an opinion off of our own observations. I'm of the opinion that women enjoy as much as men because the majority of women I've known and spoken to think about, talk about, and have as much as men, and I very much doubt that they are all anomalies. Now I'm sure there are women out there who naturally don't have a high libido, as well as some men, but I'm pretty ** positive they aren't the majority.

Personally, I find the negative view of and aversion to feminism just indicative of the problem itself. Suddenly women trying to secure equal rights (which, as the above users stated, benefits all genders) is seen as "annoying". I'm not sure where this view really comes from either; all the historical feminists you study in school aren't the "I hate men" type nor were most recent mainstream women's rights cases. But I guess as long as people like Rush Limbaugh think women wanting birth control covered by health plans are "****", the problem will just continue.

Also, people have also consistently fooled themselves into believing that sexism, racism, homophobia, etc. are things of the past and everyone is equal and treated fairly nowadays. That's simply not the case. No, these aren't the days where women are treated as property and we don't live in a place where women are executed for being raped, but it doesn't mean it's perfect and it doesn't mean we should stop trying for equality.

Additionally, when I say "equality", I mean equality across the board, including things like custody cases, conscription, etc.

Sadly not. Neither of my parents have life threatening illnesses and I don't have a crippling disability so I don't think my sob story would cut it. I can't sing either but that's basically irrelevant.

If there's anybody that knows what a virgin is, it's the girl that constantly posts pictures of cats in comment sections.

Of course, in order to be a man, one must be swift as a coursing river, with all the force of a great typhoon, with all the strength of a raging fire, mysterious as the dark side of the moon.
