+247 Whenever you walk past someone smoking, you purposely cough, amirite?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Take an alternate route ass hole!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Or when someone excessively sprayed Axe or something.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Then I just lock them in a closet until the smell wear's off. It's usually around 24 hours.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I don't do that... But I think I should start.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

sometimes ;)

by Anonymous 12 years ago

No, because I'm mature enough to just hold my breath until I've passed them.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yeah because God forbid you inhale the tiniest bit of smoke a couple of times in your life. Oh, and I seriously doubt smokers are even paying attention when you do that.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I enjoy striking up conversations about lung cancer with my friend when we pass smokers.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Well i would but most smokers understand the risks they face. Plus i'm not an asshole.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It's just rude.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I usually cough or sneeze - but it's mostly a natural reaction to the smoke - I can't stand how it smells and tastes.......

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It's not rude when you're allergic to it.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Then it wouldn't be on purpose.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I hate when people do that, and I don't smoke. But it is annoying and immature if people purposely cough when they walked right next to someone who is smoking.. if its in a restaurant or another close space where its not allowed to smoke, I get it. But if its outdoors its really annoying. Just hold your breath.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I see what you mean, but if it's a crowded public place, it's really rude to smoke.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Really? I'm not a smoker or anything but I didn't ever think of it as being rude, I guess I can see how it could be...

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It's rude to smoke when there are a lot of people around. It's like spraying a lot of body spray in a crowded hallway at school. You just shouldn't do it.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Thanks for restateing?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Not purposefully. I do it because I have issues with my respiratory system, but usually I try to hold my breath to avoid it.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

My mom taught me to either cough when we passed smokers or to just hold my breath.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Like they don't know it's bad for them, and like they really care/notice what you think of their personal decision. Stupid.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I voted YYA on this last year. I must be more mature now. I would never purposely do that now, how obnoxious.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Being asthmatic, I try to hold my breath when I see smokers. And I know a lot of smokers.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Nah, I usually just glare at them and tell them I hope they get lung cancer

by Anonymous 12 years ago

And I would reply to that like this "I'm going to die anyways, and I enjoy smoking, so why live life if you deprive yourself of things you enjoy"

by Anonymous 12 years ago

To you I say "Have fun dying in a hospital bed, suffocating because you can't breathe" Well actually I hope they have to cut a hole in your neck to breathe out of. Yeah that's better.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I naturally do it anyway but I make it more obvious. It's not obnoxious for me to do that, it's obnoxious for them to smoke in a public place. If they have to smoke they can do it in their own house.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It's a public place - they can do whatever they want to.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I'm pretty sure they can't run nude(legally)

by Anonymous 12 years ago

But it's not illegal to smoke.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

U said they could do whatever they want

by Anonymous 12 years ago

You can do whatever you want in a public place, the only thing is that if the thing you're doing is illegal, you'll get punished.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

In Canada it is illegal to smoke in places not designated for smoking

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Okay, well it's not illegal in America.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It should be illegal to smoke.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I completely agree, but since it's not, they can still smoke in public places.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I dont understand why you would do that, it's rude and obnoxious. We know the risks we are taking, and seriously, walking past a smoker and catching a hint of the second hand smoke isn't going to kill you or have any effects on you unless you have respiratory problems. Different senario, if you walked passed someone having a beer in public, would purposely start acting drunk or pretend your puking?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yeah, I don't ever purposefully do that unless I'm walking with my little brother who has extreme asthma. Man I especially want to punch the person when I bring him to a playground and they start doing it. I mean really? This one time we were at one and this group of friends started smoking; it got to the point where we had to leave because he was coughing so badly.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yeah when people do that its stupid, I try to avoid smoking in areas with children, but when I'm in the city with my parents I don't really have a choice.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

"Risks you are taking" No. Try consequences. A risk is something that *might* happen. The stuff you do when you smoke WILL happen to you. And on your page it says you're 16... and you smoke? That is so sad and pathetic.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

How is it pathetic? And by risks I meant "dying at a really early age" which doesn't always happen. It's quite possible but it's not guaranteed. And don't give me shit about smoking when far younger kids are doing far worse to their body's. And why has it become socially acceptable to hackle smokers? It's just as unhealthy to excessively drink or being obese

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I happen to be your age and think it's trashy. I don't care what other kids are doing; that doesn't justify smoking. At least being obese or drinking excessively doesn't kill poor people who don't drink or aren't obese. You smokers kill over 50,000 people a year from second hand smoke. And I will give you shit if it's my opinion. Because I'm entitled to it. ;D

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It may not kill them, but it does cause them unneeded stress and emotional distress. A drunk father comes home and beats his wife and kids. A fat father and mother raise children who follow their eating habits and become fat as well. A parent who smokes comes homes and goes outside to have a smoke (and if he doesn't he should) Do you know what the number one killer in America is? High cholesterol. And you think it's trashy? That's cool, I think being fat is disgusting and pissing, literally pissing, your money away getting drunk every weekend is stupid. But if I was out in public and started making fun of a fat person I would be chastised and maybe even slapped/punched. And no what other kids are doing doesn't justify me smoking, but what it does say is that there are bigger and worse problems out there besides smoking. What about all th teenagers dying if drug overdose or alcohol poisoning? Or getting hit by drunk drivers or being drunk drivers themselves? These are much more impor...

by Anonymous 12 years ago

What if they want to stop smoking, but they're already too addicted? Coughing just seems rude.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

If people want to do something as stupid and deadly as smoking, they need to do it in their own house with no one else around. It slowly kills the people around them, so they might want to think about whether they would want to responsible for doing something like that to other people, especially children.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I don't cough on PURPOSE . . .
