It's true, according to my sources, costs them 0.01p per text, costs us 10p (on average I'm guessing (on o2 anyways)), what a rip.

Ah, I was thinking for people on pay as you go, where the networks would be making no money at all. But if you're paying monthly then you're right.

Imagine if ISPs charged users for email, chat and instant messaging. Why should cell phone carriers get away with charging for texting?
