I agree. Cursing just makes a person look ignorant; it shows that they can't control their own profanity, and can't get their point across in a strong way without adding curse words.

That is true but using profanity doesn't automatically make you unrespectful. Let's say you do a faceplant on the cement and it hurts really bad. What are you going to say? "Oh darn!"? No, you are going to cuss like a sailor. So, does that really make you unrespectful?

Sometimes using profanity makes it sound more...serious? I'm not saying that t should be used to sound serious, but depending in what is being said, it could sound like it's serious business.

I think it also sorta depends on your age. I'm in eighth grade and if a teacher hears you cuss they'll probably call your mom. My sixth grade teacher said she was apalled at the words that came out of our mouths.
