+290 Black people should no longer be called a minority, amirite?

...To be honest, only like 20% of America is black.

I think it's even less than that

Isn't there more hispanics than us? So, techinally we'd still be a minority, along with the asians! D< And indians? D<

You're right. Whites are the majority and the rest of us are minorities. But if the rate of immigration to the us from Latin American countries keeps up, in a few years hispanics will be the majority and whites will be a minority.

minority: a group of people who differ racially or politically from a larger group of which it is a part (Example: BLACK PEOPLE)

Shut up, our president is black, unfortunately. No, that isn't a stab at his race. It's a disappointment in our people.

Who really knows? I doubt they're all beating each other up to fill out those census cards in the rough areas. You have to participate to be considered a majority.

Logically ... if you select the "correct" EEOC code ... everyone would be "Two or more races". We now know that it is less the skin pigmentation that holds people back in society, and more a matter of economic opportunity. IE: It doesn't matter so much whether you are black or white - as what neighborhood you grew up in. So really the main reason to have ethnic boxes on the census, is to maintain the myth of "official" ethnic oppression.
