+776 I understand you're trying to be unique and different. But if everyone has the same studded belt, black eye liner, and sullen expression (etc.) that kinda ruins the whole individuality thing. Amirite?

its not just for originality, its because thats what we want to be and we dont care if people call us emo or goth because we want to be that.

I have been thinking this forever! Don't call yourself different and unique when your different in the same cookie cutter way! :t @chelsiieexxxx even your screen name is cookie cutter XXX! XD just saying!

So if people wear similar clothing or like similar music, they are the same? It's like saying everyone in a band is the same because they all wear the same clothes, even though they all play different instruments. Saying someone is the same as everybody else because they like a particular style of dress is wrong - I mean incorrect, not imoral. You can't judge how unique a person's personality is based on their clothing. Everyone's different in some way. The people who wear these clothes just have the courage to let everyone else know that they are different instead of trying to hide it behind cheer leader uniforms and jock straps.

"The people who wear these clothes just have the courage to let everyone else know that they are different instead of trying to hide it behind cheer leader uniforms and jock straps." So all people who cheerlead and play sports aren't different from one another? Judging people based on their particular style of dress is wrong.... at least that's what you said. A little hypocritical maybe?

If they are trying to express themselves, I don't mind. What I do mind is the posers. You used to make fun of kids for wearing goth or anything like that, but now that it's in, look at you! You look like a friggin' emo, and still make fun of other kids are it! God damn posers need to get over themselves.

Well I can say the same thing about the "normal people" with their clothes from Hollister and Abercrombie and whatnot. Thats not unique at all. And "emo" means emotional. If you're referring to "scene", then this post is very derogatory. I'm that person you're referring to, I love the clothes and make up I wear thank you very much. And sullen expression? I'm one of of the happiest people I know.

Actually , I in no way doubt that you enjoy what you wear. I'm sure you do or why else would you wear it. However this post is directed to people who do in fact wear the same clothes and make-up as their entire group of friends yet insist that they are completely unique, when they aren't. (speaking of appearance , I don't doubt they are each have unique personalities) If I heard people wearing Hollister or Abercrombie saying their style of dress was completely unique then I would have made a post about them. However in my personal appearance I have not.

^agreed. And to whoever the fuck posted this stupid amirite bit, don't talk shit about what you dont understand. Those people are some of the awesomest, funniest people. Uniqueness doesnt even matter. Everyone is unique, which is just another way of saying no one is. People like you are fucking annoying and need to keep your mouth shut.

Hmmm another hypocritical post. You don't know me .. at all. But you're judging me based off a single post on a website. That's almost like judging someone on say .. their clothing. Isn't it ? Since they both may not be accurate portrayals of who a person is.

I totally agree with this post.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Seriously, people do things for individuialty. Then they are all the same.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

But not many people do the goth/emo thing, so it is individual.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I don't think many act like they're the most original person ever; they just like that style of clothing.
