I think that 'hot' is the 2nd worst on that list, as it only implies that the guy believes your best trait is your looks, in which a person truly in love should not say. Cute, is probably something you'd say to a child or a animal, as said above, and often doesn't show romantic love interest. Pretty is something I'd feel you say as a kid, to everything that catches your eye, as an adult, you'd say it to a child's picture or a compliment or to say to a person that is not to show any love interest. Sexy, is the worst, as it STRONGLY implies that the person has no respect, and doesn't actually care about you. Beautiful, is the best one. I think a true love would say that, as it shows love and compassion, and not just some guy who wants to get in your pants. This, is also only my opinion, please do not comment about how my comments offended you or anything.

I think of it as: Cute: you are sweet and lovable...like a puppy as some people said. Sexy: I mean it has the word sex in it, thats what they are thinking. and don't get me wrong it's still flattering to get, but theres something about it that just isn't as nice as ...beautiful:D Hot: like their body is nice and toned and fit, and it could be sexual but not always Pretty: They think you have good features i.e. pretty eyes, pretty hair.... but not in a sexual way any are flattering though..to me anyway

Cute is an affectionate term, like adorable. It's basically saying you look nice. Pretty is akin to Beautiful, but it can be said by a wider range of people, and not just a significant other. Mostly applies to face or hair, not body. Hot is just the body, not the face, or anything else. Some Hot people have ugly faces, but great bodies. Sexy deals with only body as well, but it's set at a higher, more sexual degree. Beautiful is Pretty, only better. Usually only said by family and significant others, or special occasions. Like Epic Cookie said, Beautiful is the best.
