-60 Why waste time learning all the Capitals, States, and Countries around the world in school, there is something called a MAP or a GPS, amirite?

I think it's fairly important to have a general sense of where important places are located in your country and around the globe. I agree that memorizing, say, all 50 capitals is a little unnecessary, but then again, it's downright concerning when you see a seventh grader who couldn't tell you if Ohio is closer to the west coast or east coast.

What is becoming of the world? Do you realize how easy it would be to break the internet? Can you even find an atlas in you house (for most people that's a big resounding no)? State capitols is less useful than major cities though. Though in honesty, who cares where the 50 state capitals are? Show me the 50 largest cities in the US, and identify agricultural regions by primary exports. That's useful info.

Hell, why bother learning math cuz theres calculators? Why bother learning to read cuz there's books on tape? We should totes just send newborn babies off into the world because there's obviously nothing that's worth learning.
