+506 You could have born at any moment in history, to any parents, in any part of the world. Yoo could have even been born a cricket or a whale. That's a pretty scary thought, amirite?

I think about that kind of stuff all the time.

It's like when someone awhile ago posted something about people lucking up and just being born to the right vagina lol. A lot of us are lucky in the sense that we happened to be born in a place or with people where there are more oppurtunities and circumstances, and even to be human like OP said. I'm not sure if I had the right words to express myself but I hope you get what I'm saying lol.

I am extremely fortunate to have been born who I am, where I am, to whom I was. However, I do not agree with your post. Even though I still clicked "Yeah You Are". I do not believe that "I" could have been born anywhere else, to anyone else. If I was not my parents' child, I would be a totally different person, with different looks, traits, abilities, personalities...and the same goes for you. I just don't really see it that way :/ But I too think about this kind of stuff too much :D

Yeah, I guess it depends on what you consider "you" as a being. The life that "you" are forced to inhabit is a big part of what makes you you. But it is still true that you could have been a totally different person and have a completely different personality, lifestyle, belief system, etc. The question is, would that mean that you as we know it would cease to exist?

You're an idiot. Only your parents had the specific genes that made 'you' up. If they hadn't done the nasty when they did, and somehow managed to have you, you wouldn't NOT exist. At all. Ever.

Umm, my question was, say that you were born as someone else and they were born as you. In the same circumstances that things currently exist. Would everything be the same as it is? Could it be?

This kinda supports the idea of reincarnation and i dig it

Depends on whether you believe in souls or anything beyond just brain cells that process our thoughts. that is all.

My friends always joke that I was born 150 years too late and 2000 miles too north, haha.
