Whoever named the Orange (the fruit) was not very creative, amirite?
by Anonymous13 years ago
Haha, actually, I'm pretty sure that the color was named after the fruit.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Either way, not very creative :)
by Anonymous13 years ago
Not to be a butt but how is that not creative? The color wasn't named yet, so the word "orange" had no meaning when they named the fruit...it's as creative as making up a word can be.

I think he meant that the naming of the colour wasn't creative.

Generic joke that anyone could've come up with.

follow up from this joke
"if those are oranges, then what are these? -points to carrots-
"oh shit...ummm...long pointies?"

There was a town called Orange in England where the fruit was first found. They named the fruit the orange after the town, and then the color after the fruit.

Where the hell in England would oranges go? They grow in tropical climates.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I don't think oranges grow in tropical climates.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Or maybe he was creative because no other fruit has the same name as it's color...
by Anonymous13 years ago
