deja vu is a glitch in the matrix, stupid....

Actually, Deja Vu is when one side of your brain understands whats happening faster than the other, because it takes a very small amount of time for them to tell each other whats going on. That small amount of time can make you feel like you have already witnessed this event before, even though it was only milliseconds.

Id like to agree with the poster on this one. its a fun theory

In my opinion, deja vu happens when something occurs that you witnessed in a past life, but that probably doesn't appeal to anyone who doesn't believe in reincarnation.

Apparently there was a theory...
That some memories are so strong they're actually part of your DNA. So a deja vu you feel could be one of your grandfather's memories that was passed onto you.
Just a theory :)

apparently it happens when your brain cell is delayed a second so you think you've seen it twice
or something

No, it's when you experience something you've already experienced. Hence, deja vu, which translates as "already seen".

@Rocky No, you FEEL like you've already experienced it, but you haven't.

no, that's jamais vu (never seen), I think.... or at least, jamais vu is when you know you haven't seen/done something before, yet it feels familiar.

a deja vu is when your brain goes faster than you
like for example when you give a gift to someone
you KNOW the person's gonna say 'thanks'
so when the person does say thanks
it feels like youve already heard it
cause youre brain already knew that the person would say that..
yunno? :P
