+895 "The BP president said yesterday that the company would survive. That's like someone running over your dog and saying, 'Don't worry, my car is fine.'" —Jimmy Fallon's right, amirite?

I like that you quoted it instead of making it seem like you came up with it yourself. Kudos :3

i appreciate your appreciation

by Anonymous 13 years ago

that is a good analogy

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I thought so too

by Anonymous 13 years ago

No, the company is suffering too. Granted, we are going to take a hit economically too, with some people not having their normal jobs. But we are not the only one's who are going to suffer/suffering

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It /will/ take a hit, but only for a few years. Remember the Exxon oil spill? They're still thriving, even though they were protested for a few years.

@208239 (Anony@208541 (Katffro): I agree however this current oil spill is generating the magnitude of the Exxon Mobile Valdez oil spill every three to four days.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Perhaps, but really, they're not doing much to stop it...they could be doing much more. It's a catastrophe, and they're throwing garbage at it, and asking for donations of hair...ridiculous to say the least

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Very true, it is ridiculous. However the main problem is that we don't have the technology to completely fix it right now. That is why it is such a big deal. It is a catastrophe to which we have no definite solution.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

But you'd think they could think quicker and come up with something fast, instead of putting effort into bogus plans.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah I completely agree there need to be better, alternate plans put into effect to take care of this.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Indeed

FUCK MY ASSHOLE

by Anonymous 13 years ago

See it's unidentified people like you who come on to great websites like these to ruin people's days by randomly voting No Way. Anyway, that's a great analogy, thanks for sharing it.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

No problem. :) I'm glad you appreciated it

It is different if it is an expensive race car that I had made a bet on to win an upcoming race (IE buying shares)
