+599 It's horrible when someone really likes you, you don't feel the same way, they ask you out, and you're practically forced into saying yes, because you know that saying no would have broken their heart. amirite?

if you care about them enough to not want to break their heart, it's not horrible, it's more along the lines of flattering.

You're not forced into anything. That's why they "ask" you out instead of just telling you where to be, and that you two are in a relationship now. Accepting their request just makes that person believe that the feeling they have is shared, so the cycle perpetuates itself, and you end up hurting them more later when you grow tired of being in a relationship that you never cared about.

So true.

This situation is a prime example of why people should learn how to say: "no" before they begin dating.

Poor Dylan.

You can say no... And their heart is going to be broken somewhere along the line, anyways.

I'd rather have a broken heart than one fed by lies.

Mitch is right! Saying yes only makes things worse! Saying yes to things becuase u feel compeled will lead u down a bad road. But just don't ruin things for them! Say no!!
