That's because quiet ones come slowly and do not virate you butt, so they form a condensed cloud. Loud ones tend to rush out and get broken up, so they seem less stinky. Also, you brain kinda prepares for the smell.

Read properly. I still maintain that quiet ones smell worse, I just clarified that loud ones have smell too, but they would have smelled worse if they had been released quietly.
