Required by federal law (US) to have an experiation date; particles of plastic from the bottle container can sometimes break off into the water over time

moral of the story, its better to just have a good reusable bottle. They make ones without chemicals. Its better for the earth too. Tap water wont kill you either, unless you have severe aids (true story)
