+246 Technology takes away from the specialness of a relationship. If the only way a couple communicates is electronically, that special bond can't be formed properly. They won't be a real couple until they have met face-to-face, amirite?

Personally, when I hear kids that say they're dating someone, but they've never met them, I lol. definitely NOT dating if you've only ever talked to that person online.

Both of my best friends find guys on myyearbook.com and all they do is text/IM/talk on the phone and then say that they're dating. It kinda disappoints me because I don't even meeting people over the internet and then dating in real life.

Absolutely. I just don't get it when people say they've fallen in love with someone on the internet and they haven't ever seen or talked to them in real life. Worse yet, they actually insist on calling this kind of electronic communication a real relationship.
