If I ever heard anyone describe Muse as Twilight's band or anything similar, I would punch them pretty hard. (Only in real life, I can't do much over the internet) Popcorn and Prague (both covers) released on the 22nd, mark your calendars!

People say that cause Stephanie Meyer thanks them in all her books, says they inspired a lot of stuff in the books, and a couple of their songs are in the movies. :'( Also I agree, that is their best album :D

Actually I knew that. I read the Twilight books and thought it was really cool of the author (no sad/crying emoticons necessary!). But I've just never heard people refer to them that way. Have you heard the songs off of the Hullabaloo cd? (The non-live ones? Or the dead ones, if you will).

Maybe, I have a big ol' thing called "Do We Need This? B-Sides and Rarities." I have like over 90 songs in total in my iTunes. I think their rare songs are maybe even more brilliant than their albums songs.

I have Do We Need This? B-Sides and Rarities, Glorious FTW, but Hullabaloo is different, the tracks aren't featured on there. Or I could be wrong and I didn't download Hullabaloo due to already having it. There are 10 non-live tracks, they're fuggin awesome. If you can get your hands on the Hullabaloo DVD, Disk 2, really good backstage tour footage.

the thing bout stephanie meyers is that she has playlists of songs she listens to while writing the stories. the songs usually inspire certain parts. i love reading and music so when i found this out i thought it was very interesting. and she loves muse. yes they shouldnt call it the"twilight band". i like stephanie meyers and twilight, the books. i dislike the movies and the hype. she has a beautiful writing style. i think anyways.

While I don't like calling Muse the Twilight band, I have a friend who hadn't heard/heard of Muse until she saw Twilight and now she LOVES them. So in a way...it can be useful, no?

Muse is and always will be amazing. It pisses me off when people start to love something because of a fad. I guarantee that anyone who had heard of Muse through Twilight won't even remember them ten years from now, much less the lyrics. Twi-hards should keep to their crappy, wannabe rock, and leave the good stuff alone. Srsly.

Muse was a band back in 1999, while Smeyer was still writing her horrid love stories, while eating twinkies and crying about why no one asked her to prom. I'm a big Muse fan, and personally, i can't believe they would associate themselves with such 'fads'. It's a bit embarrasing for them, really. Origin of Symmetry was their best album :) Megalomania was great.

They need to use more hard core muse sings in the movies if they're going to. It show those twilight crazies they aren't all about twilight and can be crazy awesome.

I have this conversation waaaayy too much. It sucks that a band as great as Muse has to be associated with something as dumb as Twilight
