+67 Having a relationship is the biggest distraction keeping you from achieving your goals. Most of us would be more successful and richer if we didn't have a significant other. amirite?

This really depends on how you define success and wealth. You can be successfully happy and rich with love with your significant other.

I used to think that, but then I realized that virtually everyone of significance throughout history managed to change the world while being part of a family (founding fathers, U.S. Presidents, etc.).

Well we might be more successful in our career, but there isn't always as much happiness when you don't have someone to share it with.

yeah i think so too because when we are in a relationship we always want to ask the other what we should or what they think and try to put them first( well i do anyway)
