+263 If you have been friends with someone of the opposite sex for your whole life, chances are you are not going to fall in love with them. Chances are the relationship would be like the relationship between a brother and a sister. amirite?

I am/was bugged my whole life about how I should marry my best friend. Like, yes we are both straight and both of the opposite gender, but honestly, we're not each others types. Why do so many stories have opposite gender neighbors around the same age date!? Argh!

I'm going out with my bestfriend, we were best friends for 2 years, we've been dating for about a month, and I think were going to break up because it does feel like a brother, all we do if make fun of each other, play fight, get mad at each other like when we used to be friends, the only difference is that now we kiss... But i think it was better as friends because now we dot tell each other as many secrets as we used to, like people we liked badass things we've done. It just doesn't work :/

This immediately reminded me of Katniss and Gale from The Hunger Games, even though they only knew each other for about four years before the first book.
