You know you're in America when you see handicapped parking spaces at skating rinks and Braille on the drive-thru ATMs, amirite?

Thats not fair. Not everyone who goes to a skating ring is there to skate and the companies who manufacture ATM machines dont know where they are going to be installed. Better safe than sorry and just stick the braille sticker on it and send it off.

Plus it's just cheaper to have them all have braille instead of spending the money to make some that don't. And a blind person could be driven around. In fact, I would assume everytime they are in a car someone else is driving.

What, they don't do this in other countries?

Yeah, America is so stupid.

Oh and op? You do know that you don't have to not be able to walk to have handicapped parking space, right? Or perhaps, they are taking their kids and have no intentions of skating?

Handicapped spots arent just for physically disabled people. And it also doesn't have to be for the driver. My brother has Autism and, even though we don't have one, we could get handicap access if we feel it's necessary to keep him safe.
And as others said, there's no way of knowing where the ATMs are going to end up.

At my sister's bank there is a sign at the ATM in Braille and English that offers audio for the visually impaired, I've always wondered if other banks have that.

mentally handicapped people can learn to skate and a blind guy can be sitting in the car in the seat behind the driver that is going through a drive through atm
